Psyche Queen was not like the other miraculous holders; she harbored a deep, burning resentment towards someone who had been a part of her past.

Kagami Tsurugi, her biological mother, was the root of her anguish. Many years ago, Kagami had given her up for adoption, leaving her in the care of Lila Rossi, who had raised her. This act of abandonment had left a festering wound in Psyche Queen's heart, and she longed for revenge against the woman who had cast her aside.

Psyche Queen was driven by her desire to spite Kagami, but her heart had grown cold and twisted. She wanted to hurt Kagami in the worst way possible, and she knew the miraculous could grant her a wish. Her one wish was to find Kagami and her teenage son, Morgan, who was the same age as Psyche Queen herself. In her quest for vengeance, Psyche Queen began to send akumas to wreak havoc in the city, akumatizing innocent people into villains. Her only goal was to draw Kagami out of hiding and make her suffer as she had suffered. She was jealous of Morgan, who had received the love and attention that should have been hers.

One by one, Psyche Queen created a legion of villains to search for Kagami and Morgan. She hoped that they would feel the fear and helplessness that she had felt all her life.
