Nari woke up bright and early, before Chanyeol's alarm went off, and quietly gathered her clothes before shuffling across the hall to the bathroom. She knew Chanyeol would probably be angry that she hadn't woken him so he could stand watch while she used the bathroom, but it was still early, and he was clearly exhausted.
She turned on the shower and locked the door, striping and leaping under the warm water. She hadn't gotten any of her own toiletries since her apartment burned down, but Chanyeol had offered for her to use his. She wasn't sure how she felt about using men's body wash, and men's care shampoo plus conditioner. She had a feeling she wasn't going to get anything better though, and settled.
When she was finished bathing, she toweled herself dry and changed into a pair of dark jean shorts that were tattered a bit at the ends and a gray straight neck top. The top of the shirt was lined with lace, and the thin spaghetti straps were white like the lace. When he hair dried, she knew it would be perfectly wavy, and she didn't bother putting on makeup. It wasn't only because she no longer had any, but also because she never really cared for it. It got in the way.
She toweled out her hair and then turned towards the door, unlocking it and pulling it opened.
She jolted back in surprise, and so did the boy standing on the opposite side of the door. Sehun stood before her, the sleep still thick in his puffy eyes, but the shock clear in his expression. "I'm sorry," He muttered. "I thought you were one of the guys. I thought I was late waking up again," He said yawning.
Nari bit her lip and nodded, taking in his appearance. He wore a pair of black sweatpants, but that was it. His flat, pale stomach made Nari twitch. "How often do you eat?" She spat, and immediately hated herself. What the hell kind of question was that? It wasn't as if he was thin from starvation. Right?
Sehun's lips tugged at the edges. "What?" He asked, shoving his hands into the pockets of his pants and squinting at her.
She looked down at her feet, shifting awkwardly. "You look thin." She said lightly, and he nodded. "Not in an unhealthy way but..." She sighed. "I can... you should eat more," She said, pushing past him and back towards her shared room with Chanyeol.
She closed the door, threw down her towel, and silently cursed at herself. Could she have said something stupider? "Nari?" Chanyeol asked, sitting up with a groan and flicking on the light that sat on the nightstand. His eyes were only slightly open, and he rubbed his right as he stared at her. "Are you okay?"
Nari nodded. "Yeah. Go back to bed, Oppa. I'm just going to go out with Corina." She said, moving to grab her phone from the nightstand. Chanyeol nodded, and Nari flipped off the light, so he slid back down in his bed and flipped onto his side.
Nari slid out of the room and stopped short of closing the door when she realized that the kitchen and living room light was on. She looked towards the kitchen first. She spotted a dark head of hair stooping and the fridge door opening. She looked to the living room next.
Chen was sitting in one of the chairs, his arms crossed onto the table and his head dropped onto them. A book was opened in front of him, but he was looking at Nari, a slightly smirk on his face. "Good morning," He said, sitting up straight and closing his book. "Going somewhere?"
She nodded. "Corina's stopping by and we're going to get breakfast together." She answered, offering him a smile.
"How nice," He said, knotting his hands together in front of him. "So then Sehun can stop making you breakfast," He said, laughing slightly.
Nari's eyes shifted to the kitchen, where Sehun was standing. He was staring down, but Nari couldn't see what he was doing past the wall between the two rooms, and his eyebrows were tugged together in clear frustration. She bit her lip and started towards the kitchen. Now she could see that Sehun was looking down at a bowl full of different sprouts. "Were you really making me breakfast?" She asked.
Sehun nodded. "You know," Chen started, peering at the two over the pony wall separating the rooms. "I don't think you took it into consideration that she's a baker, and she therefore enjoys sweet in place of savory. Maybe instead of making a hearty breakfast you should have tried a sweet breakfast." He said, moving into the kitchen and tugging a bean sprout from the bowl.
Sehun blushed and looked away from the two. "Well, I was just making breakfast, not really for any particular person." He stammered, and Nari noted that he had a slight lisp.
Chen looked to Nari and smirked. "Right," He said, winking.
There was a quiet knock on the door, and Nari rushed across the room, looking at the camera screen. Corina and Min Young stood on the other side. She smiled and opened the door. "Hey!" She smiled happily, keeping her voice quiet since it was still a little earlier than most people woke up on a weekend.
Corina smiled back. "I hope it's okay, someone was leaving as we were coming in, so we didn't ring up." She said, looking to Min Young, who nodded.
Nari shrugged. "It's whatever. Come on in," She said, moving out of the way so the two could move in. She watched as Min Young's eyes grew wider. He was trying his hardest to keep his cool, clearly, but his inner fanboy was breaking free. "Chen and Sehun are awake and somewhere in the dorm," She said, moving down the hall towards the kitchen.
Corina followed behind her with ease, while Min Young clung to Corina, wide eyed sweeping the dorm in search for band members. "So what's the plan?" She asked, coming to a stop in the arch of the kitchen. "Good morning Sehun. Good morning Chen." She said, bowing her head slightly at each boy.
Chen smiled. "Hey Rina. How are you?"
"Thankful for a day off." She said, smiling. "How are you?"
He shrugged. "Tired and hungry."
"I can't really fix the fact that you're tired," She said, tearing her shoulder from Min Young's grips. Clearly he was squeezing too hard. "But if you want you can come get breakfast with us."
Nari nodded. "Yeah, that'd be nice."
Chen looked to Sehun. "Think your cooking can wait, oh Chef Smooth Moves?"
Sehun made a face. "I think you should go change, oh Stand Up Mental Case."
Corina stood beside Chen, watching as Min Young asked his four hundredth question since Sehun asked him his name. He clearly wasn't able to keep his head. Nari watched from beside Sehun, trying to hide her smile and laughter.
Chen elbowed her side. "Watch this," He said, nodding towards Sehun, who was staring at Min Young, stunned. "Hey, Sehun, tell him about the time you caught a ferret that had escaped in the dorm."
Min Young gasped. "Oh my god you're so courageous."
Corina immediately started laughing as Sehun stammered out an answer. "Are you serious?"
"God no," Chen asked, looking at her sidelong. "But I knew it would get a good response." He smiled, looking down as he chuckled to himself.
Corina shook her head. "I don't appreciate you antagonizing my roommate like that." She said, turning towards him. "Do you do this to anyone who geeks over you guys?"
Chen shrugged. "Maybe, maybe not. Do you always treat guys who fawn over you like the plague?"
Corina's brow furrowed. "What?"
"Don't you 'What?' me. You know exactly what I mean," He said, turning towards her, hands in his pockets and a slight smirk playing his mouth. "Kai?" She immediately groaned. "Could you just smile his way? Then we could hear him talk about that for a week in place of how angry you were. Regardless of what you do, he's hung up over it, could you at least make it something positive?"
Corina smirked. "For you? I just might."
