'Side effects' is the most essential part of the their journey. One path leadsto through new world where anything they do is led by thr system and guided with comfort, the second path is the hard path to unknown lead by their own actions.
These paths turn into two universes that chronically happen at the same time.
According to Chan I.N is the 'glitch' so he is conscious to both worlds happening where they experience frustrations and dead ends (like you see in the side effects MV) but comfort each other and stay together despite the challenges.
