It had been 2 years since Y/N had been in the maze with the gladers. She had had here memories of the maze taken away from her and she had no idea of who Newt, Minho, Gally or Thomas even were. However, today was going to be a special day because today was the day the gladers had escaped the maze, the day she would see them again.

Gladers POV

"We finally escaped that shithole." said Thomas, relieved.

"Cost a lot of lives though." replied Newt looking at there surroundings. He thought of all the people who had died and sacrificed themselves for a way out of the maze.

"Your thinking of her aren't you..." said Thomas looking deep into Newt's eyes.

"Aren't we all..." Minho looked at Newts hand to see the piece of paper that was given to them after she got taken away from them. Newt slowly opened it up. He didn't read it out loud so that he could keep his emotions to himself and they all looked over his shoulder and read the following:

Dear Newt, Minho, Thomas and Gally,

Yay! You finally escaped! This letter is for me to explain the situation I'm in. Once I get taken back, I will make sure to reprogram the grievers so that their targets would not include you - meaning they won't see you and won't be able to harm you. It's complicated but I needed to leave the Glade. You see, there were 5 other mazes, identical to yours that also needed rescuing, I saved all 5 but one remained unsaved so I decided to give myself in to WICKED and I attempted to reprogram the Maze to lead you out as I had previously done with the 5 others but, WICKED realised how dangerous I was and they decided to send me in, taking away all my memories of rescuing you. I regained them after my fight with Gally but I had to leave in order for me to save you. Once you get taken to the other place, I will be dead by then. They will have killed me for being too much of a threat to WICKED. But know that WICKED is always there. You can't escape WICKED.

As soon as they finished reading it, they were silent. A minute passed and no one said anything. Until Minho spoke up trying to change the mood of the four.

"At least we now know her name. Y/N, such a lovely name." Gally was about to say something when a computer lit up and they could see a women who introduced herself as Dr. Paige. She talked to them about what the flare was and how it prevented her from meeting them in person, when suddenly Newt said, "Pause the video." The glader who was closest to the computer paused the video and looked back at Newt, wondering what was going through his head. Newt just walked towards the computer and rewound the video. He zoomed into a corner where there was a girl being dragged on a hospital bed into a room which said 'testing room'.

"She's alive..." He said looking at Minho, Thomas and Gally. They didn't know how to feel, whether worried or happy. She was alive and they were going to see her...
