Bruce wayne was a hard-headed man, strong willed and highly respected. He was strong in most aspects, being he big bat that roams the streets of Gotham at night to watch over the innocent. Bruce had been through many tough times in his life, he had battled many villains and succeeded in what he was aiming to do but there are other times when he has failed though it wasnt a bad thing because sometimes it's okay to fail.

There is one itsy bitty hardship he deals with on a daily basis and that's Y/N Wayne, his one and only daughter. Bruce wouldnt at all describe himself as a 'strict' parent, more level headed and fair, there are times when he indeed needs to put his foot down however that was the problem, he found it hard to decline what his daughter wishes for and could never say the most simple single word to her.

Saying 'No' to his daughter was hard, she wasnt a bratty kid, never one to be demanding but she had this face that made him not want to decline her requests. He remembered this one time when she was around five years old at the time, she had seen a giant teddy bear at the touch shop they happened to be passing on that day and she immediately became drawn to it, pleading her father to buy it for her but he sidnt have time that day, he was in a hurry and he had just let the word 'No' slip. His heart broke as Y/N's eyes grew big, her bottom lip trembling in sadness though she didnt cry, only becoming upset because she couldnt have it, she was over it the next day but from then on Bruce just couldnt seem to say 'No'.

"You gotta' be quiet..." Y/N whispered to the tiny puppy she held beneath her jacket, walking into the manor as quietly as she could. Not wanting to draw any attention to herself as of this moment.

A whine came from the animal, a small but very audiable bark following after. The girls face scrunched, grimacing at the noise as she heard chatter coming from the other room over. She peered around the archway into the kitchen where she saw Alfred, Damian, Jason and her father. Her eyes glanced down towards the pup who looked at her and tilted its head, wiggling around in her grasp in an attempt to be put down.

Y/N brought it closer to her chest, wrapping her jacket around her more which made the pup yelp out and catch the unwanted attention of the males in the room she was stood outside of.

"Y/N?" Her fathers voice called out, she cringed at the call of her name, spinning on her heel so her back was facing away from them.

"H-hey guys, how you doing?" She asked as the pup started squirming more in her hold making it harder for her to keep her grasp on the little body. Peering over her shoulder, just as she saw Jason open his mouth she decided to speak before he could even utter a word. "Yeah, that's good- hmm. Anyways better go to my room now."

"Are you-" a bark once again interrupted Jason's sentence, the Y/H/C haired girl cringed and squinted her eyes down towards the animal, mentally cursing it out.

"What on earth was that?" Bruce frowned, walking over towards the kitchen archway to be met with the smaller form of his daughter, she was now looking up at him sheepishly with her arms crossed in a weird position over a bump in her jacket. "And what are you be hiding?"

"N-nothing da-" a whine sounded aloud, her eyes widened. Her arms unwrapped from around her jacket allowing the pups head to pop out from the space provided. "Well would you look at that- how on earth did you get there?"

"And why do you have a dog?" Damian appeared besides their father, arching a brow in her direction as he crossed his arms among his chest.

"Not that it's any of your concern demon-" she scoffed hearing a tut from her brother, she sighed looking down at the pup then back towards the others. "Nawh, he was all alone, shivering out there in the cold. I couldnt leave him."

"Should have left the little beast out there, what good is it going to do here?" Daminan stated, glancing up at his father who hummed at his statement but hadn't taken his eyes away from the animal and his daughter who was glaring at the ravenette.

"Could say the same for you really. Why didnt dad leave you out there alone, huh? Your such a bloody-"

"That's quite enough." Bruce exhaled sharply, His forefinger and thumb rose to pinch at the bridge of his nose while his head tilted back slightly.

"Please, can I keep him. I promise I'll look after him." Y/N stepped forwards, moving closer to her father who's eyes trailed back to her, looking every which way but not into her own eyes.

"We cant keep him here Y/N/N."

"B-but he'll be alone and-"

"Y/N I'm sorry but we cant, okay?" He watched as the young girl frowned, eyes squinting lightly as a pout made it's way to her lips.

"But-"

"Dont you know No means-" Damian had started but seemed to be interrupted as soon as he spoke.

"Yes. Okay but it's your responsibility." Bruce announced guiltily looking down at the girl who smiled widely and jumped forth to give him a hug but was careful not to hurt the pup as she did so.

"Oh thank you, dad." She squeaked embracing the puppy tightly in her hold, bounding on her feet as she rocked in happiness. Her eyes bright and wide while she awed over her newly found pet and friend.
