"What the fuck?!" Szymon yells at his phone. I turn to him with a raised brow.

"What's up?" I ask. He shows me his phone and my eyes widen in shock.

the same day — recess period

"What the fuck is this?!" I yell at my friends, holding my phone upwards. "Why does this say that you guys are dating? What are you not telling me?!"

"We tell you everything Martin. We're friends!" Dominic says. I shake my head in anger.

"Why doesn't it feel like it then?" I ask. "I've been feeling left out a lot and now you guys are dating and you didn't even try telling me?"

"We're not dating!" Szymon answers.

"Liars!" I yell. "Just because you feel like your reputation's over doesn't mean you have to lie to me. I'm your friend— best friend!"

"We're sorry, okay?..." Dominic grabs a hold of my shoulder. "Sorry for not telling you sooner."

"Yeah, we're sorry..." Szymon says.

I hug my friends and the hug me back.

"You just have to tell me when you guys are going out to bang during class, I'll cover for you."

the same day — after recess; science

"Alright class, settle down." Professor Hilroy says. I roll my eyes and rest my chin on my palm.

"So we have a new student for our class," she says, "this is Maria, she's a transfer student."

"Ooh, another winner." I whisper to my friends. They giggle a little as Professor Hilroy goes on.

"Maria, go sit beside Dominic over there." Professor Hilroy points towards Dominic who sat up.

"Someone's cheating." I say. The group then chuckles aloud. The professor turns to us.

"Ladies," he says, "quiet down."

"Right, sorry..." Emma says, rolling her eyes.

dominic's pov
the same day — science class

"Hey... I'm Dominic, you can call me Dom if you'd like." I say as I pull my hand out to shake Maria's hand.

"I'm Maria." she shakes my hand. I smile at her.

"You're new?" I ask, sitting up.

"Yep," she replies, "my old school didn't really work out."

"Right..." I say. We sat there awkwardly. I decide to speak up.

"Wanna spend lunch with my friend and I?" I ask her. She nods in reply.

"Alright, I'll meet you outside."
