World Trigger || Various! x Reader

*~Chapter 4~*

Watching as both the Rabits fall to the ground defeated I let out a sigh "What a pain that was. Sadly though we can't rest yet, not until this battle's finished"

I turn to the twins who are already looking me up and down assessing me for injuries only stopping once satisfied I'm not hurt. 

I hear radio static in my ear "Captain waht are your orders now?" Akari chimes in.

"First Akari regroup with us and Rin I want you to patch me throught to HQ" I say

I hear a faint click indicating I'm in a channel with HQ "Sir, this is (Y/N), we've taken down three Rabits each one with a different power"

Captain Shinoda is heard throught the ear piece "Yes, we recieved your report, thank you. Your orders are to keep taking down as many Rabits and Trion soldiers that you can, you can move freely anywhere you see fit."

"Yes sir" I reply, the faint click is heard again signalling the channel change.

I turn to the twins "Alright you heard the man, we can't stop now"

As they nod in response I hear a faint "Captain!" in the distance that wasn't coming through the ear piece. Turing around I see Akari running with Egret in hand towards us possessing large grin, waving one hand in the air. I lift me hand to wave back at her but like a light being switched off I was stopped mid-way, my eyes widening. Almost out of thin air a Rabit appeared behind her arm raised.

BANG

Before anyone could even react  she had been sent flying into the side of a house crashing through a wall.

"Akari!" I yell voice laced in worry.

Over the coms I hear her cough before replying "I'm alright Captain he just got me by surprise"

Releasing a sigh of relief "Good now get away from there as quick as possible, don't get caught"

"I'm sorry Captain I didn't notice it appear on the raidar" Rin chimes in, regret lacing every word.

Shaking my head dispite knowing she can't see me I reasure her "It's alright, mistakes happen, while we handle this one keep an eye on other aproaching enemies"

"Yes Ma'am"

Still weilding dual Kogetsu I rush towards the Rabit taking it's attention from Akari to me, the twins launching into action releasing a barage of bullets at the Rabit. However, what was to follow next would shake everyone to their core.

POV: ??

There was no more gun firing, no clashing of Kogetsu attacking the Rabits, not even Akari's footsteps as she ran away. It was all just silence as if time had stopped. Until the sound of two Kogetsu's hit the ground followed by a body hitting the ground. Akari stared up, eyes wide in shock and horror, from where she had been thrown to the ground. The Rabit stood above her, but it wasn't the Rabit that made her so horrified it was the person who stood in-between her and the Rabit. She watched as her beloved Captain slowly became liquified unable to uter the words 'bail out' transform into a yellow cube and be stored inside the Rabit that stood before her collapsed figure.

How... How did this happen? One minute they were fighting a Rabit, the next watching her Captain get turned into a cube. Even the twins stopped moving and just stared, being stuck in place not being able to comprehend what just occured. Ah thats right, now she remebered, while running away another Rabit appeared before her, this time it was one they hadn't seen, a purple one. Just as she was about to be captured the Captain pushed her to the ground and took the blow.
