On the colossal St. Ancestral Mountain range, sunlight shone through the gaps between the mountains and into the deep canyons.

Despite it being early summer, the snow from winter had not yet melted. The cold in this place was particularly severe, with occasional roars of beasts echoing.

Upon the valley's surface, a magnificent city extended into the distance.

The world outside of the St. Ancestral Mountains had been overrun and occupied by beasts, with the people within the mountain range cut off from the outside world for hundreds of years.

The city's inhabitants were uncertain about the situation beyond the mountains. Some speculated that they might be the last human settlement, while others believed that there were scattered humans elsewhere, but in very small numbers.

In any case,

Ancient scrolls recorded that the human race once had thousands of Legend Rank Fighters and Demon Spiritualists, with some establishing numerous empires on the vast continent. However, those empires had been wiped out.
