Chapter 2

(Y/N)'s POV

Savannah slowed down and lowered us half a mile away from the cave and found a civilian, shivering with a blanket round him.

"Sir, I'm here for a job about a forbidden creature in a cave? 4 million jewel reward?" I asked, formally.

"Which guild?" He replied still looking in the other direction.

"None, sir."

"I'm afraid the job has already been taken by a group from Fair-" he stopped mid sentence and looked at me jaw dropped. "Y-you're t-the ice-"

"Ice Warrior, yes. Now, would you like to point me in the direction of the cave?" 

He nodded and pointed north trembling, it was unknown whether he was trembling the cold or me, though I was hoping it was the cold.

After 10 minutes we arrived at the cave, I stopped in shock.

"What's wrong (Y/N)?" Savannah asked in concern.

"No, it couldn't be.." I whispered.

**FLASHBACK**

"Come on (Y/N) you're barely trying." Kamira said.

"I AM trying! I can't do it!" My younger self replied.

"Well at least make it look like you're trying." I huffed in annoyance and sighed.

"Fine." I positioned myself and cleared my mind. "Ice Dragon: Roar!" I shouted, nothing happened. "What?! Why didn't work?! I put in all my effort that time!!" I yelled in frustration. I felt myself getting angrier by the minute. Kamira just scoffed and looked away.

 "Ah, maybe I was wrong, maybe you just don't have it in you to be a dragon slayer." I looked at her in utter shock and disbelief.

"What do you mean?! You said I was special and different from other wizards!"

"Maybe I should correct myself, you haven't got in you to be a wizard." That pushed me over the edge.

"NO!! SHUT UP YES I HAVE!! I'M A WIZARD!! I'M AN ICE WARRIOR!! I AM AN ICE DRAGON SLAYER!!" I yelled, the room began to shake, the temperature went below freezing Kamira looked to me in surprise. "ICE DRAGON: ROAAAR!!" I roared as loud as I could. I was heavily breathing as I opened my eyes to a now frozen cave. I jumped up and down in excitement. "I did it! I did it!" I exclaimed in excitement.

"I knew you could." She smiled, I ran over and hugged her. She still had an astonished look on her face. Kamira began to think to herself: 'This child, I underestimated her power, she was able to channel her emotions into power and use the elements around her to increase it! Such strength, such skill, I always knew from the moment we met she had the power to be a dragon slayer but she's much stronger than I thought. Maybe she could slay him. Or maybe I'm just in a fantasy, though it is possible.
