loving, small lovers conflict, lastly and most importantly forgiveness.
three common thing that a normal couple would go through in a relationship, but our couple of the story had one different normal thing that they encounter almost everyday.
lack of communication.
but even with this problem they both know the feelings, love is mutual to one another.
."me or them...?"
.
"i knew you would come." the woman said turning to the tall figure who was coldly glaring at her, eyebrows forrowed and on his right hand his sharpened trident, grip tightened up on his trident as screams filled the castle with the sound of fire engulfing everything inside and as she sets her attention to the tall figure."what was your reason?.." the tall figure asked the woman Infront of him. "do i have to say it?" the woman replied with a mocking smile. "dont bother telling me pointless excuses, you could've chosen a different path..!" the man gritts his teeth under his scarf covering half of his face.
"you're right i could've, but instead i chosed this." the woman chuckled mockingly. "my family did something you couldn't have expected from me, strange isn't it?" she smiled at him. "but they didn't do all that." she stopped to looked at him for a few seconds before speaking again.
"do you understand what i am saying?" she looked straight into his eyes that was coldly glaring down at her "the truth was it was me, who planned and suggested all this chaos, the mastermind!" she chuckled, putting her hand to her chest, pointing to herself.
"why..?" he stopped. "why did you..?" he looked down at her, all feelings swirled inside him, anger, confusion and anxious. "who knows? why did i do it?" she turned her back into him and walked a few steps forward. "i didn't really have much or any at all reason to hate you and your family." he watched her, lowering his face as his face darkened. "so thats why ever since you came here chaos started to arise... but why...?"
"oh my! did you finally catch up? but as expected, but to be honest i didn't think you would be that dense and get fooled, knowing you, you have such sharp instincts after all. But i guess you couldn't guess that your innocent wife would do such thing, right?" turning back to him as she smiled, mocking him.
"that maybe is true, but you were blind enough to get used, correct? why do you think i asked for such impossible requests?" she smiled pulling out a white envelope sealed with red wax. "im not saying i want a ruin this marriage, i've not even yet signed this." she raised the envelope as he watched her quitely. "that means were still a couple." she smiled.
she lifted his trident and pointed it directly to her neck as the sharp blade made contact with her skin and as the sharp tip piercing through her neck making her blood trickle down the tridents blade. "it is a little late, but its a small give for you, from me as your wife."
the two stood as fire engulfed their surroundings as the tall male glared at her coldly. Both of them didn't say a word as the fires flames got larger, angrier and the sound of the fire blaring...
"no..." the tall male said as the shorter woman to glare at him as she smiled again. "for the last time, let me go as your wife." he froze. "wife...? we've only been going at eachother as opponents all this time, and now you're in the verge of destroying everything! how could you even think i could call you my wife?" she continued smile as blood also started to come out of her hand as she gripped the sharp blade of his trident, blood flowing down the sharp blade like a waterfall.
"dummy... this is proof that we are still an actual married couple." she let out a low chuckle. "look at this wonderful lovers quarrel!" she grinned, pointing out the the surroundings where everything was set ablaze by the large fire. "I've been dreaming every single night for this shitty place to turn into a sea of blood, aren't you the one who granted me this wish?" her grin widened.
"i..." he stopped to look directly into her eye, gaze softening at the sight of her features, and those eyes.... the eyes that he used to love, the eyes that had once full of life, that's now empty. No single sign of light in them. "I'd do anything.... if it's for you..." he mumbled with his shaking tone the woman can only hear.
"Sorry. I've been toying with your heart all this time.." she smiled as tears made their way into her eyes. "i had to make sure you were on my side until the moment of my death." she looked at him as her features softened. "this is the last wish of someone on the verge of death. so dont hesitate." she smiled again, but this time not in a mocking way but in a genuine smile thats showing happiness.
"i love you."
."i loved you." he responded with uncertainty.
