i grab my suitcases and leave my hotel room. i walk over to the lifts, to see them out of order. i pick up my suitcases and bring them down 4 flights of stairs. i walk into the lobby to see lando waiting for me. hes going on a seperate plane to mexico, while im going on a 13 hour economy flight back to stupid england.
as my uber drives up to the hotel, i give lando a tight hug. "ill miss you." i say.
"ill miss you more." he says. he gives me a bracelet that says 'texas' on it. i put it on my wrist, laughing.
as i put my luggage in the boot of the uber i hear lando shout "i love you!"
"i love you too." i shout back. as im sitting in the uber i go to play with my ring, forgetting that i had lost it. i turn around to see lando waving at the car, and i wave back, hoping he sees me wave.
as we arrive at the airport, i pay for the uber and check in. i go and order a coffee and a croissant and i bring it to a table. i check through my emails and i see one from work. it was an email reminding me i have work tomorrow. stupid work. as im scrolling through my socials, i receive a text from charles. i open it, while taking a bite of my croissant. he had sent me a song. 'the adults are talking'. i look through my bag and pull out my headphones to listen to the song. when the song ended, i recieved another text from him. 'whenever you hear this song i want you to think of me.' i double tapped his message and reacted to it with a heart.
i turned on the song charles sent me while the plane took off, looking out of the window, thinking of him.

as i left the airport, i was hit by englands cold weather. i walked over to where i parked my car a couple days ago. i put my luggage in my boot and i set off for home.
i open the door to alot of post on the floor. i put my suitcases upstairs and i go look through my letters. everything was so quiet. i turned on the tv and fell onto my sofa.i watched as the f1 drivers arrived in mexico. i got up to look in my fridge and i remembered that i emptied it before leaving for austin. i pick up my phone and order a pizza.
i sat in my bed, and i decided to message lando.
