Evan Fournier & Rudy Gobert: The Notebook

Chapter One

~ The Interaction at the France National Basketball Team ~
July 2014,
Paris, France
2:00pm,

They were at the basketball practice when Evan Fournier came to see Rudy Gobert. "Evan! It's been great to see you! What's up?" "Oh nothing much," Evan said chuckling. "So I guess we were planning to go out for dinner after the Olympics game is done," "Yep and we can head out to the steakhouse for dinner," Rudy said smiling at Evan's expression. Nicolas Batum and the rest were there witnessing the interaction between Evan Fournier and Rudy Gobert.

"Wait! You two know each other?" Boris Diaw asked. "Uh yeah," Evan said. "Besides Rudy Gobert was a great person to hangout with and after the Olympics game, me and him will have dinner together," "Oh I see, I can really tell you and Rudy will make a great couple," "Oh you know we were just talking and yeah, we have everything in common," Evan explained. "I mean, he's the best person I've ever met if not for more," It made Rudy Gobert smile when he described him as a great friend, player and a teammate who would always make the most out of the team and the day. The fans had known anything about Evan Fournier's relationship with Rudy Gobert and they were inseparable ever since.

"I bet you and Rudy will soon become close friends, but you will be a couple," Nicolas Batum knew anything about the relationship between him and Rudy. "Well yeah and he'll be there for me to do the pick up lines," Evan said laughing. "I mean when it comes to me and him interacting with the other players like that, I know that we will be just fine. You never know me and Rudy will have kids one day," Evan was the one who spent time hanging out with his mother's friends' children and Evan had dreamed about wanting to have a family on his own. "You know guys, me and Rudy have been getting to know each other, but can we give it some time to think it through?" "Yeah sure," his teammates replied.

Before the game starts,

Evan and Rudy spent their time socializing with each other while waiting for the head coach to arrive. However, Rudy asks Evan if they were planning to have a family on their own. Evan never had a thought about it because his parents didn't want him to know and yet, his father wouldn't want him to get pregnant early.

Nicolas Batum: So what's up with you two?

Evan Fournier: Apparently, Rudy and I were just having a conversation about having kids.

Nicolas Batum: wait! What?

Evan Fournier: well you know, he dreams of becoming a father.

Nicolas Batum: oh if that's the case, I'm surprised you and Rudy decided to think it through

Evan Fournier: I know that Nicolas.

Nicolas Batum: anyways, the game is about to start, so finish what you have with Rudy.

Evan Fournier: okay.

Rudy Gobert: is it just me or is Nicolas Batum getting all over the moon?

Evan Fournier: I don't know Rudy.

Rudy Gobert: me neither, let's go straight to our game.

Evan Fournier: yep.

~ Time Skip to the Gobert Household ~

They got home from the game as Rudy's parents were surprised that he brought Evan Fournier with him. "Rudy, I'm surprised you have someone with you. What's his name?" "Mom, dad. There's someone I'd like you both to meet," "Hi guys!" Evan Fournier said.

Mrs. Gobert: Hi Evan, I'm Corinne.

Mr. Gobert: I'm Rudy Bourgarel. Nice to meet you.

Evan Fournier: Nice to meet you Mr. And Mrs. Gobert.

Mrs. Gobert: I made some dinner for both of you, come eat.

Evan Fournier: great!

Rudy's father and mother were there for the family dinner while he and Rudy were at the family meeting. Somehow, they were wondering if Evan would go to Brussels for the family vacation.

Mrs. Gobert: Evan, I was thinking if you're going to Belgium with us. I think you'll love it there.

Evan Fournier: I'd love that.

Rudy smiled knowing that Evan is going to Belgium with him.

Evan Fournier: I'm excited to go to Belgium with you.

Rudy Gobert: you'll love the cities there. We will show you the places where I went as a child.

Evan Fournier: yes and someday we will have a baby on our own.

Rudy Gobert: I know that love.

They decided to pack up for the trip to Belgium. Although, Evan loved being the person who would always be there for the others when they have no one to talk to.

Brussels, Belgium
8:00am,

Evan and Rudy were holding hands together while heading out with Rudy's parents. Evan was leaning on Rudy's shoulders as he looks at him. "Oh Evan, you are so beautiful," "Thanks Rudy," Evan smiled. In the meantime, they ended up sharing a kiss together. Mr. And Mrs. Gobert we're surprised to see the two men sharing a kiss on the lips.

Mrs. Gobert: wow! I heard you and Evan will make a great couple.

Rudy Gobert: you bet Maman.

Mr. Gobert: in fact, Evan Fournier is all yours now.

Rudy Gobert: I know dad.

For most parts, Mrs. Gobert would tell him that he and Rudy will become parents to their future children. Yet, Rudy had informed to Evan that once their time comes, they will do anything for their family and their kids.

Rudy Gobert: you know once when we enter the NBA seasons, you and me will find a place to live and for our future kids.

Evan Fournier: Oh you always say that.

Rudy Gobert: yep.

Well who knows, Rudy knows that Evan Mehdi Fournier will be a great mom.
