The morning of cadet acceptance letters, Wolffe was slowly getting up expecting for his mother, Mako Mori-Becket to come to his room saying that breakfast was ready. This had been a normal occurrence since his dad, Reigh Becket, had been deployed in order to maintain the peace that Earth knew now that the breach had been sealed. Wolffe spent the next ten minutes ensuring everything was prepared for when his mom came in but to his dismay his mom didn't come to his room over the next twenty minutes. His curiosity getting the better of him Wolffe quietly walked down the stairs and saw his mom asleep on the couch with what looked like tear stains on her cheek. In her hands Wolffe immediately recognized the seal of the Pan-Pacific Defense Corp and his heart sank. He had gotten accepted, and his mom was afraid to lose the only remainder she had of Reigh. Slowly walking over Wolffe shook his mom by the shoulder waking her up, "Good Morning Mom." Wolffe spoke kindly waiting for to gain complete consciousness. "I have to admit I have no idea if breakfast is ready or not because as you know, I suck in the kitchen." Wolffe said drawing a laugh out of her along with a rare smile. "Here, this is for you." She said holding out the letter. "Your father and I have trained you since you were young, so you are going to an advanced study line that only a few get to do." Mako told him. "Soon enough, you will be piloting your own jaeger." This brought a smile to Wolffe seeing as he was drift compatible and he had the combat training he expect to have to learn the theory of Jaegers and the Drift which would probably take 3-4 months and shortly thereafter to begin finding his partner. "Come on, we have to eat. Then I will drop you off at the transport while I'm talking to Jake." Mako said with a sad look. Ah Uncle Jake, the wayward son, Grandpa decided that Uncle Jake wasn't cut out to be a pilot and sent him away. Now he has been in and out of prison with Mom getting him out more than once. After the two ate and had a good amount of time to mentally get ready for what was likely to be a hard conversation the departed and headed towards the transport. Once the transport got moving Mako got on her pad and stood in the center of the seating area. "Hello Jake, here we are again... Father used to say 'we make our own luck.'... You were arrested in a rogue Jaeger... You have priors. This is serious... They're not going to let you just walk. But there might be another way... Reenlist and finish what you started... I don't want you to be a cadet, I want you to help train them... The transport is standing by to bring both of you to Moyulan... You and your new recruit." Mako then ends the call with a slight smirk. "It's always interesting talking with my brother." She adds turning to Wolffe.
Wolffe then went to sleep for the final hour of the trip. When the transport touched down on the ground Wolffe and Mako both disembarked from the transport. "Mom, isn't that the transport that Uncle Jake and his new recruit are on?" Wolffe asked pointing to a transport in the distance. "Yes, you may like this new recruit too. According to her transcripts her mind is like yours in a way, the two of you would make an ideal pair." Mako told the young man, with a small smirk on her face as a light blush ran across his face. "Wha...Wha...What?" Wolffe asked in shock. "What do you mean?" he added with a shocked look still on his face. That was when Ranger Nate Lambert walked past us and up to where Jake was landing and the two of them interacted before Jules, a Maintenance crew chief, walked up to Nate with read outs of Gypsy Avenger as well as a new Jeager, The Normandy Omega. The new jaeger was a Mark-7 with an Analog, nuclear, power source the Normandy Omega was one of four that the PPDC planned on adding to its arsenal but first they needed pilots to test it. "Hey watch it! Be careful with my jaeger." The young woman yelled over to the crew. "Hey, this isn't their first time. They will take care of your Jaeger..." Wolffe couldn't finish his sentence because he didn't know the young woman's name "Amara Namani, and you are?" Amara said. "Wolffe Becket." he replied. This causes her face to light up with both recognition and happiness. "Oh, my goodness, your mom is Mako Mori, and your dad is Reigh Becket. They are two of the most famous pilots in the history of the war. Have you been inside the Gypsy Danger?" She asked excitedly. Wolffe chuckled as his hand rubbed his eyes. "Yes, Mako is my mom, she is also standing right behind you" Wolffe said with a knowing smirk. Amara's eyes widened slightly as she quickly turned around to come face to face with her idol, Mako Mori, who had a small smile on her face. "Hello, as you know I am Mako Mori." Wolffe positioned himself behind Amara as Mako started to talk, it was a good idea too because as Mako stopped talking Amara fainted. Wolffe knelt down and started fanning her face as a way to cool her off. Mako then gained a smirk that told Wolffe he would either hate or love what she was about to recommend. "Mom, I don't like that face." Wolffe told her as he looked up at her. "You could kiss her. Like how the princes of the stories I read you did." This shocked the young man more than her comment about their compatibility. "So, you want me to lose the ability to give you grandchildren, don't you?" Wolffe asked knowing that she wanted to have grandchildren. He then leaned towards Amara's face and angled his lips towards hers. When their lips meet Wolffe could have sworn that Amara's body physically reacted to the kiss by taking a jolt up towards his. When he pulled away Wolffe saw that her eyes were moving as he pulled away "You wanted me to do that, didn't you Amara?" Wolffe asked the young woman that was on the ground, she gave a nod. "That was a good kiss, Wolffe. Would you like to do it again sometime?" Amara asked with a smirk. Wolffe smirked in return "Amara, all you had to do was ask, that is if you wanted to jump into bed together." Wolffe's smirk widened as Mako held back a laugh at his wording. Amara looked shocked, then she blushed, then her face looked mad at him. That was when Wolffe started to run towards Normandy Omega, without realizing it. "Wolffe, Stop running. The two of you will enter the Normandy Omega Jaeger." Mako tried to stop the duo.
Her words went unheard as Wolffe and Amara walked in to the conpod of Normandy Omega. The lights suddenly turned on. "Two pilots in the Jeager." The speaker said as the two of them walked in. Wolffe then took out his communication device and rang Mako. "Wolffe! Are you and Amara, OK?" Mako asked, "Mom, we're ok. We're inside the conpod of Normandy Omega. I don't think that the door will let us out until we drift and pilot the Jeager." Wolffe said delivering the news that Mako didn't want to hear. "Your father and I taught you the basics, but it looks like you will have to fly before you can learn how to walk." Mako told the two, "I will inform Marshal Sato and have him open the doors of the shatter dome. You need to initiate the Neural bridge." She then logged off. "Right, Amara you take the left hemisphere and I'll take the right. Preparing to initiate the Neural bridge in 3...2...1...Initiate." The two of them are suddenly thrown violently into each other's minds as they see each other's memories. As this was happening, they were also learning from each other, the skills one of them possessed the other one learned and vice versa. "Bridge is at 100%, beginning walk around. This is Normandy Omega does anyone hear us?" Wolffe said into the comms within reach of his left hand. That was when he was pulled into a memory. The Memory was from the first Kaiju war. Wolffe was on the Santa Monica pier, when a Insurrector arrived and stepped on the rest of her family. As Compensation Wolffe let Amara in to one of his most precious memories that show her the value of life and happiness by showing her his father playing with him, this put her at ease. "Woah." Tindol said drawing confused looks from Mako, Jake, and Nate. "Tindol what's going on?" Nate asked the test operator. "They both went out of alignment, but it looked like Wolffe did it on purpose. Almost as if he was sharing a memory with her." This caused Mako to smile. "Well, are they the official pilots of Normandy Omega, Marshal Sato?" everyone turned to look at the Marshal. "Yes, they are. Mako train the two of them privately and quickly. I want them ready for combat within the next two months." Sato said turning towards the door. "Yes sir" Mako returned. Wolffe and Amara walked out of Normandy Omega's conpod. "Well, after that show I have a feeling that my mom is going to train us privately. Though we may only have a few months to complete." Wolffe told Amara. Over the next few days, the pair went to Mako's quarters and were trained on theory and combat training. After two weeks they moved on to practicing with the Drift.
As the two walked around the training facility a news reel caught both their attention. The duo saw Gypsy Avenger a Light blue Jaeger with two nuclear reactors stacked on top of each other. The duo stopped to listen to what was being said, "The summit today will decide whether or not the Jeager program will be put into the hands of Shao Industries drone technology. Wait, there seems to be a large black Jeager coming out of the ocean next to the Sydney Opera house. Reports are coming in, the PPDC is saying that this is a rogue Jeager. 'Attention, pilots of unregistered Jeager, power down and exit your conpod immediately. I repeat; power down and exit your conpod now.' We are taking you live to the happenings in Sydney wait something is jammi..." the sound then cut off and only the visuals were left. What was witnessed over the monitor was pure pandemonium and chaos as the beautiful city of Sydney started to fall to ruin, then Wolffe saw something that caused his heart to plumet. Mako's chopper was hit and going down, Wolffe knew that despite his best efforts, Jake wouldn't be able to reach her in time. Then it happened, the Gypsy Avenger reached for the chopper, and they barely scratched the side of the vessel. Tears welled in Wolffe's eyes as he watched his mother, the one who taught him everything that a pilot values, die just out of arms reach from his uncle. Wolffe ran off to where the original Gypsy was a secret bunker under the academy, as he ran all of his memories with his mother and father, his uncle Jake were going through his mind as he tried to mourn the loss of his most valued family member. Later jake joined him as the two sat in silence, they both looked over all the memories they had and realized that Mako had been through the same thing Wolffe was going through. Mako's whole family died during the Onibaba attack on Japan before Coyote Tango could get there. "Don't hang on to the memory let it flow through you let the problems teach you." Jake told Wolffe. After Gypsy avenger left Amara and Wolffe practiced combat and drift for both the Gypsy Danger and Normandy Omega, which were not too different seeing how they both were mark 3 brawlers.
