Chapter 9-Preparation for raid

<heyyyy guys, so I write all of these in my free time at school and home, and it does take a very long time, I try to make the average chapter around 1.5k words, which takes around 2-3 hours for me. So, as an author I would really appreciate your feedback aka comments and votes!>

After breakfast the next morning, which Naruto and Sasuke were (thank god) allowed to eat alone and without the watchful eye of Lord Takahashi, preparations for the raid in a few hours began.

If it was in their interest, they were offered to change, which they both declined, being that both of their outfits were sick as hell.

Instead, they sat around and did a whole lot of nothing. Like going into their room, taking a nap for 2 hours, talking about.... nothing in particular and packing their stuff. They didn't actually know what a raid entailed, so they just assumed to bring Kunais and what not, the usual supplies for a mission. They did have to ask Jace for permission to bring Kunais out to pack though. It wasn't unthought of that the corporation didn't trust Sasuke and Naruto to freely carry weapons.

"Boys?" Clarice's voice called into their room. "Come in." Sasuke replied from the bed. Naruto was lying face down on the floor. Of course, there wasn't any reason for it.

As instructed Clarice opened the door, showing that Monica was with her as well. "It's time to depart. Wait, is Naruto okay!?" She said, just realizing he was on the floor. Sasuke nodded and rolled his eyes. "Yeah he's fine."

"Well uh..." Clarice started. "You know you may each have your own room, right?" she said nervously. Sasuke squinted his eyes, plainly glaring at her. "we're aware." "Very well then. Please follow us to the gates." Monica spoke up.

Naruto dragged himself off the floor with Sasuke's help, and they headed out. The walk was long, through many halls they hadn't seen yet. But all the same they arrived at ginormous doors that looked very much like an entrance, or in their case, an exit.

A plate of ninja led by Lord Takahashi and another official looking fellow approached. Sasuke and Naruto could hear them coming from a mile away, being that the combined sound of 100 ninja was extremely noticeable.

"Good afternoon boys, you'll be led on this mission by Captain Yagi here, please follow instructions, and don't have doubt that he as well has the ability to keep you in check." Lord Takahashi said, and without another word swept himself away.

Captain Yagi in question was a tall and lanky man with black hair and lots of freckles that were prominent on his pail skin. He also was wearing a lot of black. Naruto caught a glimpse of Sasuke's scowl next to him, assuming it was because they looked so similar, and struggled to stifle a giggle.

Sasuke noticed and pushed him, effectively knocking Naruto over in his vulnerable laughing state. Captain Yagi and the other hundred ninja watched awkwardly.

"Stop fooling around." Captain Yagi piped up and showed himself and the other ninja past the boys, expecting them to follow.

Naruto and Sasuke fell in at the back of the group. They all marched in an orderly manner, given their size was too great to speed run.

And at the back of the ninja, there happened to be a problem. A slim and blonde girl with unquestionable good looks and exuberant eyes, draped in black to match the rest decided to strike it up with Naruto. She turned to look at the two boys, more specifically Naruto, from over her shoulder, her blond hair rippling down her back.

"Hey Naruto, exited for your first mission?" she asked with an obvious wink. Naruto didn't notice. He smiled with glee. "Y-"

Naruto was only able to get one syllable out before Sasuke stopped him. He stood behind Naruto with a glaring expression and proceeded to cover Naruto's whole mouth.

Naruto was surprised but used his cognitive thinking skills quickly. Those that he doesn't use very often.

He licked the hand that Sasuke was using to cover his mouth, which effectively made him let go. "What the hell!" Sasuke said with disgust as he wiped the hand down the side of his shirt.

Naruto grinned. "You liked it. Anyways, that was mean, she's trying talk." Naruto said seriously while redirecting his attention to the girl at hand who was visibly both confused and uncomfortable.

"You're not talking to her." Sasuke said with a dark expression

Before Naruto could object to this more, he heard a loud voice sounding from the front of the group that had already made it outside the doors. The group was so big, they weren't even outside of the building yet.

But eventually they were greeted with fresh sunlight that they hadn't touched in days. More than days, weeks. The air wasn't stale or old like it was in the building, or thin like it was in the box. It wasn't musty and dense like it was in the Sound village. It was clean, and freeing. They felt truly free, even though they knew they were not.

It was a good day. There were fresh blue skies that carried slight air, so it wasn't humid but not windy either, and they could hear bird songs, too.

"Move your ass's losers!" Captain Yagi called. He looks like the kind of person that doesn't curse and is shy so hearing him talk like this seems out of character. "Naruto and Sasuke! You're required to be under my super vision, get to the front!" They heard him call from the front of the group. It's surprising how strongly his voice carried through the air.

Naruto and Sasuke gave each other one shrugging look before marching around the group who now stood still to the front. Captain Yagi was placidly waiting for them there with an annoyed expression.

"On of you on each side of me, come on; we're in a hurry." he said.

They half complied, standing right next to each other on one side of Captain Yagi. But not separate. The captain stared plainly at the two for a few moments before rolling his eyes.

"Let's head out!"
