Adeline unlocked the door to her house and stepped inside with Dia close behind her. When they entered the house, they both heard footsteps coming their way.
They both soon saw a woman with long strawberry blonde hair turn a corner and come in front of them.
"Oh Mrs Schmidt, you're back." The lady's voice was as sweet as honey.
"Yes I am Rose. How were the kids while I was away?" Adeline inquired.
"They were all well behaved, a couple of times they did ask where you were. I think Michael missed you the most." Rose informed her.
Adeline chuckled at that. Her eldest child, Michael would never admit it but he was definitely a mother's boy.
"Well thank you for taking care of them once again, here's your money for today." She said while handing Rose a good amount of cash.
"Thank you, I'll be happy to babysit them again." She replied.
Rose then left the house through the front door while saying her goodbyes to Adeline and Dia.
As soon as Rose left Adeline locked the door. Both her and Dia then headed to the living room, not bothering to take off their coats as they knew they would leave soon anyways.
In the living room, a small girl with ginger hair and green eyes was sitting on the couch watching T.V.
When she heard footsteps she turned her head and expected to see her babysitter, but her eyes lit up when she saw who it was.
"Mom! You're back!" She said happily.
She ran up to her mother and hugged her, Adeline hugged her back. Seeing the two together, the small girl looked like a mini copy of her mother.
"Yes I'm back Elizabeth, and I'm happy to see you too." Adeline said to her daughter with a wide smile on her face.
Elizabeth's loud and happy voice caused other people in the house to know that Adeline was back.
A small boy came into the living room with a smile on his face, he wanted to see his mother too.
Unfortunately he was quite a shy child, so as soon as he saw the stranger next to his mother, he immediately stopped in his tracks.
"Mom.... Who's that?" He asked hesitantly.
"This is Dia, she is a very close friend of mine Christopher." Adeline explained as Elizabeth continued to hug her legs.
Dia gave him a warm and friendly smile as she bent down to his level.
"Hello there Christopher, I like your bear plush."
Christopher looked at the yellow bear toy he was holding.
"Oh him? He's called Fredbear." He seemed a little less shy when it came to talking about his favourite plush toy.
Christopher began to tell Dia little things about Fredbear, and Dia listened closely. During this, Elizabeth had finally let go of her mom, she then told her mother the things she did with Miss Rose.
Adeline made sure to engage with her daughter's energetic conversation. A minute later, her eldest child came into the room.
"Mom? When did you come back?" He asked.
"Just a few minutes ago Michael." She answered him.
"Did you have a good time with Miss Rose while I was away?" She inquired.
Michael shrugged.
"It was alright."
Elizabeth continued her conversation with her mom, giving Michael the opportunity to notice that another woman was in the house, which was Dia.
