Dia unlocked the dark wooden door, opening up her home to the kids and her friend. The children excitedly went inside, with Dia and Adeline close behind them.

The kids quickly took off their coats and began to explore the house. The two women looked on as they put their own coats away.

"They sure are excited." Dia commented.

"Yes they are.... Thank you again for taking us in Dia." Adeline said, feeling eternally grateful to her friend.

"No need to thank me, it's the least I can do for all that you've done for me." Dia replied.

They looked at eachother, both feeling grateful that they had the other.

They then caught up to the kids and as the day passed, they began fulfilling their wants.

First they all went out into the lush garden and played. Adeline pushed Elizabeth on the swing hanging from the tree, Elizabeth was very happy about this as she was smiling and giggling the entire time.

As Elizabeth was swinging, Dia watched over Christopher and Michael. Christopher was looking at the flowers closely, seeming to like their colourful and unique petals a lot.

As Christopher looked at the flowers, Michael was attempting to hit an apple out of the only apple tree in the garden with rocks. Dia was watching them both diligently and making sure that Michael didn't accidentally hurt himself.

Once they had their fun outside, they headed back in and went into the indoor pool. Michael was the first to go in, making a big splash as he did so.

He did a lot of laps and went under the water multiple times. Elizabeth and Christopher also went into the pool but they had to stay in the shallow end, they still had a lot of fun though.

Dia and Adeline were watching over them and were ready to jump in at a moment's notice if anything were to happen. Thankfully nothing did happen and they all just had fun in the water.

After the kids had their time in the pool they were dried off with big fluffy towels by Adeline, and as the sun set they all ate a delicious dinner.

Afterwards Dia gave them different bedrooms to sleep in, she made sure each child liked the room as well.

Adeline said goodnight to all of her children and Dia soon showed up with children books. They both headed to Christopher's bedroom and he was excited when he saw the books.

Adeline read to her child and showed him all the lovely pictures in the books, and he was smiling from ear to ear all the way through. Dia watched and provided some voices to some of the characters which both Adeline and Christopher appreciated.

After the 5th book, he nodded off to sleep, and the two women quietly left the room.

"He's grown so much...." She said quietly to herself.

Adeline just looked at her knowingly.

Dia showed Adeline to her room for the night, before she retired to her own bedroom.

They both quickly and peacefully fell asleep underneath the warm and cozy blankets. Despite some stresses, today was a good day, and from today onwards there will be nothing but joy.
