Pink Hair

You were scrolling through your phone trying to figure out what you should watch while you have your dinner. It was late in the evening but with all the promotions you've been doing as part of your recent comeback, you were getting home quite late the past few weeks.

Before you could decide what to watch, you got a notification from instagram to show someone you follow was doing a livestream. Not just someone, it was Chuu. Despite both of you being well known idols, you've never actually met her but that didn't stop you from developing a crush over time. She was just so beautiful and the mutual friends you shared had nothing but wonderful things to say about how lovely she was on a personal basis.

So you pressed the notification and decided to watch her livestream just out of curiosity.

She had just began chatting to fans and her infectious happiness instantly put a smile on your face.

"Hi everyone," she said as the views began to quickly build up. "I thought I'd do a livestream and talk to you guys for a while. So if you have any questions, feel free to ask me."

The comments rolled in and for a while you just watched, too shy to make your presence known. Chuu took her time to interact with each fan and you knew for sure she had made some of their days by responding to them in such a joyous way. Having met your fair share of people in the industry with inflated egos, it warmed your heart to see an idol who remained so genuine and down to earth.

She continued to read through comments and after one comment in particular, you found yourself brave enough to make yourself known.

"Someone wants to know: when did you dye your hair pink?" She read. "I went to the salon last weekend. I really love the results but tell me what you guys think."

You gave a small smile as you typed a response.

You look so pretty Chuu! Pink really suits you :)

Your thumb shook a bit before pressing send, knowing there was no way back now. If she didn't see your comment, fans would certainly see it and point it out.

Nervous energy coursed through your veins as you waited for her to see it.

And judging by the gasp of surprise she did.

She stared wide eyed at the screen for a few seconds as the comments began to trickle in, people saying hi to you and some of your fans getting excited knowing you were also watching. You almost thought her cheeks had a slight pinkish tint matching her hair that they didn't have before. Maybe it was just her lighting or the camera quality playing tricks on you but you couldn't be sure.

Chuu looked like a deer in the headlights but after a moment she was able to compose herself.

"Guys look, Y/N is here!" She grinned and your heart melted knowing that you had caused her to smile like that. "Hi Y/N!"

She waved at the camera and you gave a chuckle. Feeling brave, you sent another comment.

Hey! I loved your new music video, you looked so gorgeous in it. I'm a fan for sure!

You sucked in a deep breath as the comment sent. You were known to be quite a reserved and introverted person, especially when it came to expressing your true emotions in public so this was quite a bold move for you.

But seeing Chuu on her livestream brought something out in you. You knew all along she was beautiful inside and out, however, you had never been at the receiving end of her charisma and you were drawn to her like a magnet now. You knew in your heart that it was now or never for you to express yourself. Even if it would end up with you two becoming friends, you were sure that Chuu was someone who you would want in your life.

It took a few seconds for the message to send and then for her to read it and when she did, she let out a giggle that you swore was your new favourite sound.

"Y/N replied again, oh my gosh," she gushed, causing your face to feel as though it was on fire. "Wait she can see this, oh crap, I forgot this is a live."

You found yourself chuckling at her being so flustered. Comments were showing up faster than the speed of light, a lot of them teasing Chuu for her reaction.

She tried to compose herself and gather her thoughts by taking a sip of water. Little did you know, on the inside she was anything but composed as she freaked out internally.

"Ok, that was a little embarrassing of me," she gave a shy smile at the camera. "I'm a big fan of you too and I've been listening to your new album non stop! I saw your live performance a few days ago. You killed it and you looked so hot. Just wow."

You were really surprised. You had no idea that she paid attention to what you were up to. Being an idol was a demanding job so you never expected that she would have time to keep up with your comeback. You were honestly flattered that she did.

Encouraged by her last remarks, you sent a final comment:

Thank you so much! Maybe we could meet up next time you're free?

You weren't sure if Chuu was into women, let alone you specifically so you wanted to keep it ambiguous. The last thing you wanted was to come on too strong and she wouldn't even be interested in having a friendship with you. You could live with her not having romantic feelings for you, of course, but you didn't want to scare off a potential new friend.

You watched her read the comment, mouthing the words as she went and she let out a happy laugh when she finished.

"I'd love to meet sometime!" She said cheerfully. "I'll slide into your dms after this and we can organize something."

Even though she was clearly teasing with that last part, you couldn't help but suck in a deep breath and stare at your phone with wide eyes. Thank goodness she couldn't see your severe case of gay panic right now because it was nothing short of embarrassing.

She went back to interacting with fans for a few moments and you went back to your dinner which was barely warm at this stage. She finished the live up quickly and no sooner were you on your last spoonful of dinner did your phone buzz.

You dropped your spoon into your bowl with a clang when you realized it was a direct message from Chuu who had stayed true to her word about contacting you.

Hi, it's me! This might be a bit forward seeing as we haven't spoken until tonight but do you want to skip the awkward first texts and just grab coffee tomorrow?

You were ecstatic and immediately replied but little did you know that tonight had been the start of something amazing between the two of you.
