"What's wrong with you?" Clarise exploded, examining the scaley green snake in her cousin's bedroom.
"Shhh, no need to be rude. Dad bought me him yesterday, isn't he cute?" Diablo said, smiling. Clarise watched with disgust as he picked up the snake and threw the long green scaley creature over his neck.
"Eww. You can't keep that thing in here." Clarise told him, shifting in her pink hoodie.
"Of course, I can." Diablo said matter-of-factly. "I've already named him, Sebastian wouldn't hurt a fly."
"Sebastian is a terrible name for a snake, wonder if Uncle Florence hit his head when he bought you that thing." the girl said, turning to leave the unkept room. Clothes were dashed all over the floor, if Clarise hadn't been careful she would have tripped over a stack of comics. The girl, oblivious to her cousin creeping behind her felt something long, and almost slimy on her neck.
"Diablo, Diablo what's on me!" The child screeched.
"Stop playing dumb, obviously Sebastian wants to meet you." Clarise, knowing her cousin didn't care to remove the snake screamed at the top of her lungs.
"Would you shut up the whole house can hear you!" Diablo shouted, in turn removing the snake.
"I HATE YOU." Clarise said, rubbing her hands on her neck.
"Relax, you're so dramatic," Diablo said, shrugging at his cousin's frustration.
"You don't care, do you?" Clarise exclaimed. "You and your jokes, just kill yourself!" At her remark, Diablo's smile faded. He folded his arms over his oversized white T-shirt and turned his back to the angry girl.
"I was only joking," Diablo muttered.
"Well it wasn't funny."
"Fine then, bet you'll find it funny if we put Sebastian in the nursery." This suggestion made way for a mischievous grin on both the children's faces.***
The high-pitched scream of a six-year-old girl flooded through the Lopez mansion. Following the scream were the crocodile tears of a two-year-old boy woken from his sleep. Two women in white uniforms ran immediately into the room. To their horror, they were greeted with Sebastian in the two-year-old's crib.
