Sleeping in class was a regular occurrence for Park Aerum. Even though she didn't pay much attention in class, her grades were phenomenal. She was a young lady without a care in the world when not at work. The white haired girl often wished she would rub off a little on Tasuku, who seemed to be so serious sometimes. Despite being just a teenager, Tasuku wanted to be treated like an adult by most. . . But being seen as a teen by Park was something that he found himself wanting. Park treated Tasuku gingerly. She was the older sister that he had always wanted.

Just then, Park's phone had rung. Students weren't allowed to have phones in class, but an exception was made for the girl and Tasuku. They were police officers after all, and needed to be ready at all times. Park groaned softly to herself before waking up and answering the call as Tasuku watched her in anticipation.

"Hello?" Park rubbed her eye.

"Park, we have a monster that appeared at Aibo. Ask Tasuku to come get a core deck case from us, I want you to take care of the monster." Commander I spoke on the other line.

"And what if I want to get the core deck case?" Park jested, earning a small chuckle from Commander I.

"Do as you please. I will leave this in your hands."

"Not a problem." The young girl replied before ending the call. "Sir, if you could please excuse-" before she could finish her sentence, all of the kids had raced out of the class. Looking out of the window, she could see the commotion happening out on the school grounds.

"What are my orders?" Tasuku calmly got up from his seat.

"Head on over to the office, get a core deck case. I'll take care of what's going on down there." She pointed a thumb at the crowd. Tasuku nodded, and the two teens took off.

"Awesome! Does this mean you're my Buddy Monster!?" Gao's eyes glittered at the dragon in front of him.

You weren't really sure what to feel. You were the one to introduced Gao to Buddy Fighting, and yet he managed to pull a Buddy Card before you. You decided not to be jealous and instead congratulate Gao. You truly were happy for him!

"This can't be real. . ." Noboru seemed to be conflicted like yourself, but instead he didn't mind showing it.

"Not a chance!" The dragon shot back. "Why would I ever want to be buddies with you!?" Drum spat.

"Hey, that's not very nice." You frowned. "Gao is as tough as they come!"

"Oh really? So tell me why he kept playing around with those guys back in that alleyway! You too!" Drum seemed to have made his appearance in the human world just to scold you and Gao.

"Alleyway?" You blinked your eyes.

"You were watching us the whole time!?" Gao piped up.

"Buddy Monsters like to watch humans from their own world to pick who they find suitable to be their buddy." A soft voice came from behind you. As soon as everyone turned around and saw the owner of that voice, all of the students became even more excited.

"No way! Park Areum from the buddy police is here!" A very upbeat and perky girl by the name of Paruko scurried over with her microphone. Everyone knew her as a Buddy Fight commentator.

"So if you're here, where is the Boy Wonder, Tasuku Ryuenji!?" Paruko asked Park, who just smiled at her softly before returning her attention to you, Gao and Drum.

"Forgive my intrusion." The white haired girl walked over and that was when her Buddy, Dokkaebi came out from her deck and made his entrance. He flared out his black wings and let out an intimidating cry. All of the students stared at the monster in awe.

"Prince Vienna. . ." You never thought you would be able to see Park up so close, nonetheless be able to actually talk to her. Park was a girl and yet people called her a prince. You wondered why.

"It's a pleasure to meet you three." Park made her way closer to you and Gao. Perhaps her charming smile was why people called her a prince. Everything about her seemed so elegant and surreal.

Tasuku would probably chuckle a little if he heard anyone say that about his friend.

"You're bustin' my vibe." Drum growled, but Park didn't seem the least bit fazed.

"My name is Park Areum, I'm from the Buddy Police. By any chance are you familiar with me?" She asked gently.

"Of course we know you!" Gao was the first to speak up, given you were still spacing out a little.

"My name is Gao Mikado! This is my best friend, [Y/N]!" The boy grinned.

"Nice names." Park chirped. "And you. . . Drum Bunker Dragon Fang Slide Terrestrial. You're a strong monster. I can tell just by looking at you." She shifted her attention to the monster.

"Finally some respect around here." Drum replied with a snark.

"But you shouldn't come to this world just to berate anyone." She just barely narrowed her eyes. "Will you be Gao's buddy, or not?"

"I don't know. This kid is seriously a bonehead." Drum quipped.

"Hey!" Gao balled his hand into a fist.

"Ah, there you are. What took you so long?" Park shifted her gaze up to the sky where Tasuku and Jack were. The boy and his monster made their decent to the ground, and Park reached a hand out to help Tasuku land and he gingerly took it. Seeing the Boy Wonder made everyone even more excited. The inseparable duo was a sight to behold.

When Tasuku looked at you with that smile of his, you hardly smiled back. You could feel yourself growing a little nervous.

"Sorry about that." Tasuku deactivated his Buddy Skill as he placed his feet on the grass.

"Traffic?" Park asked.

"Park, there's no traffic in the sky." Tasuku held back a snicker.

"Here, this is for you." Tasuku handed over a red core deck case to Gao who gratefully took it.

"Think about it, Drum Bunker Dragon. Having a Buddy is really something special. Dokkaebi means a lot to me." The white haired girl happily looked up at her own Buddy, Dokkaebi.

"I thank you for your kind words, my liege." Dokkaebi responded with such a scary voice, but with such a polite bow.

"Well, it's time to get back to classes. I hope you and your Buddy get along." Tasuku nodded before getting ready to take his leave.

"Take care, you two. We'll see you around." Park waved.

"Wait!" Gao stopped them right in their tracks. "Tasuku, let's have a Buddy Fight!"

"Gao! What are you doing!?" You had a feeling something like this would happen.

"Did I hear you correctly?" Tasuku glanced over his shoulder.

"You sure did! C'mon man, let's fight!" Gao grinned.

"Are you stupid!? I didn't even say that I'd be your buddy!" Drum chastised your poor friend.

"Sounds fun. I think you should do it." Park placed a hand on Tasuku's shoulder. "When's the last time we fought anyone else for fun?"

"You're right." Tasuku nodded. "I accept your challenge."

"I will allow you to use the stage after classes are over!" Mr. Neginoyama frantically waved his arms around.

"I'll see you there." Tasuku said to Gao before leaving.

"Ciao." Park was just about to leave too, but your body acted on its own and grabbed her hand before she could go. The white haired girl turned to look at you with confusion written all over her face.

"Is something wrong?" She asked as you tried to find courage in yourself.

"Please! Buddy Fight me too!"
