"Coffee or tea?" Magnus offered.
"I know you said you wanted to have some good tea, but I thought I would offer both."
"Oh, I brought some leaf tea I bought yesterday." Alec showed the small green coloured metal box to Magnus. After their discussion, Alec went to his room to get a book he meant to read and a box of fancy leaf tea he bought from a local shop. He wanted to thank Magnus for his hospitality, so he also grabbed a pack of lemon cannoli he bought recently from a famous farm shop in the area.
"Oh, brilliant! I am more of a coffee guy, but I am sure we can have some tea as we read books today." Magnus looked at the green box for any instructions. Magnus didn't know how to make tea with loose leaf, but he was not going to show that to the sexy demigod in front of him.
Alec chucked after seeing how Magnus was struggling. "Let me." Alec offered his hand. Magnus pouted a bit, but he handed over the box back to Alec.
"Don't laugh, but I have a travelling tea pot." Alec showed the glass pot he brought with him. Only then did Magnus realise how much stuff Alec has brought with him.
"I am impressed." Magnus was amused. Alec smiled in return. Alec put some loose leaf in the infuser and poured some hot water over it. Till Alec made tea, Magnus quickly got two mugs for them.
"I have some snacks in my bag. If you don't mind, can you take that out?" Alec asked from Magnus, who was now waiting for tea to brew.
"Yeah, sure." Magnus opened the black laptop bag and found the sweets packet Alec meant.
"No way!"
"Why? What's wrong?" Alec was confused.
"Oh my god, this is my absolute favourite flavour of cannoli. Pistachio come close second but lemon cannoli, just perfection." Magnus gave a chef kiss.
"Good to know that you have good taste." Alec smiled. Magnus stood next to Alec.
"Well, I did invite you to my room, just two hours after we met each other, so you should know how good my taste is." Magnus raised his eyebrows and gave a very cheeky grin. Magnus was trying to be funny, but how Alec observed him made him gulp. Alec did not have a smile on his face. Instead, Magnus was pretty sure that Alec's eyes were fixated on his lips, and a few seconds later, on his eyes and again back on the lips. After a few rounds of this, Alec smiled cheekily at Magnus, who was staring at him with a flushed face and turned back to the tea pot.
"It's ready." Alec said easily as he just didn't look at Magnus with the hungriest eyes that existed in history just a few seconds ago. Alec poured himself and Magnus some tea and offered a steaming hot mug to Magnus.
"Oh.. nice. Thanks for the treat." Magnus took a deep breath of the tea mug, and it smelled divine, and the warmth of the mug gave him a nice and warm feeling on this gloomy day.
"It is a perfect day to just read books." Magnus sighed happily as he sat on his bed and left enough space for someone else. As much as he wanted to invite Alec into his bed, he didn't think Alec would like that. It literally has been less than 3 hours since they met.
"And to cuddle too." Alec said this time as he sat down on Magnus's bed. Magnus looked at Alec just to make sure he heard right.
"Alexander!" Magnus had an amusing smile on his face.
"You are much more of a flirt than I expected," Magnus was truly happy about how straightforward Alec was.
"I guess my current company and the weather have a great impact on me than I expected." Alec leaned into the luxurious looking tufted headboard behind him.
"Hope that is okay with you." Alec asked from Magnus after he took a sip from his tea.
"I have no complaints." Magnus smiled as he stared into the switched off tv in front of them. Alec was looking at Magnus's face with a smile on his face. He realised he had been smiling continuously since he met Magnus, and it was very rare for Alec to smile that much. Even when he was surrounded by his most favourite people, he doubted that he smiled this much.
"Do you prefer some white noise in the background when you read?"
"I dont mind. If you want the tv on, please go ahead." Alec offered.
"Thanks." Magnus turned the tv on, and both finally started reading their books as they enjoyed their tea and the sweets.
A few hours went by. They got so engrossed by their books that they didn't talk much.
"Oh my god." Magnus gasped. He was looking at the pages with wide eyes.
"That bad, huh?" Alec asked.
"I can't. No, this book is too much." Magnus put the book down and got up from the bed. Alec also put down the book as he wanted to make sure Magnus was not too emotionally overwhelmed.
"What is going on?"
"The couple. My most favourite couple. It seems like they are not going to have a happy ending, even though they deserve all the happiness in the world. Oh my god, how can they do that?" Magnus was pacing back and forth. Alec was amused how affected Magnus was by the book as he had never seen anyone react that much.
"Do you want to stop reading for today? We can watch something instead." Alec was concerned. Magnus took a deep breath. He really didn't want to keep on reading if his favourite couple was not going to have a good ending.
"I think that would make me a bit calmer." Magnus answered.
"What would you like to watch? A tv series? A movie? I am good with any."
"A movie sounds good." Magnus sat down on the bed.
"Great." Alec browsed the movie options and decided to go with light-hearted rom-com movie, and Magnus really seemed to approve his choice. Magnus sat closer to Alec. Close enough they can feel each other but not close enough that their arms would touch but halfway into the movie, they both were laughing hard, that their arms slightly brushed against each other.
"This is good. I needed this. After how bad I felt this morning, I thought it was going to be a shitty day, but I am glad I met you and everyone else." Magnus was truly thankful. He didn't want to admit, but he felt extremely lonely when he saw Alec's group that morning.
"So truly, thank you." Magnus turned to Alec and thanked from bottom of his heart.
"No problem at all." Alec smiled back. He finally did what he wanted to do since he got in the same bed as Magnus. He finally put his palm on top of Magnus's hand and waited for Magnus's reaction. When Magnus looked at their hand and then looked back at Alec with glossy eyes that made Alec skip a heartbeat, Alec had to take a deep breath to calm himself.
"My offer about the cuddles, it is still on the table." Alec finally said after the intense stare they just shared.
