"Ookami Akahi." That is my name, given to me by that woman on that fiery night eight years ago.
I had just woken up a few moments before a monster appeared. I was in the middle of a fire swirling around me. My head was empty except for the fear of the monster who tried to attack me.
Then, she came. As soon as she appeared, the monster was killed. Her sword glistened green with the monster's blood. Despite my fear of her power and the nauseating smell, I gathered my courage.
"Thank you... what's your name?"
When she turned around, her eyes were as cold as ice, staring daggers at me.
"My name is Shimamiya Hikari, eighteen, and a Demon Slayer. Who are you?"

My head pulsated. "Ookami... Akahi?" I repeated the name she gave me.
"Yes, that's your name! I'll give you something, too!"
Hikari took a bow out of her hair.
"This is one of ten relics: the Hidden Bow and Arrow! This bow goes in your hair and turns into a bow and arrow! Use it wisely! I hope you like it. I have to leave now. Bye, Akahi!" She waved her hand side by side.
Then, I blinked once, and she was gone.
I know much more now than I did then. For instance, that monster that attacked me was a Demon, and Shimamiya Hikari was the top Demon Slayer. Ever since I met Shimamiya-san, I've wanted to become a Demon Slayer. My days, which started eight years ago, began with Shimamiya Hikari.
Even though my memories haven't returned yet, I do believe they will.
Surely when I fulfill my dream, the cobwebs will clear...
