I stayed with Nick all night. We reminisced, caught up, laughed, and he even taught me how to play Minecraft. (I'm not very good at it.)
When I woke up the next morning, I was still in Nicks room.
It wasn't off for us to share a bed, considering that when we were in Texas, my apartment only had one room and I couldn't afford a big enough couch to sleep on.
Nick didn't mind anyways. He told me he always slept better when someone was in the room with him.
I'm the opposite. Normally, I like my space, but it's Nick, so I'm not bothered.
The sunlight beating through the window was dimmed by his curtains. They were sheer, but still let in enough light to see around the room perfectly.
Nick laid flat on his back, spread out. His hand was up by my head, his fingers tangled in my hair. His leg had somehow managed to be flung on top of mine. I'm guessing it had been there for a while because I can't feel my foot.
Nicks a heavy sleeper, so I was able to pull his hand off my head and slide my leg out from underneath him.
When I'm done, I put the blanket I stole from him back over him and walk out.
My hair was messy from nicks hand and the shirt I wore wasn't mine. It's nicks.
He lended it to me so I didn't have to sleep in my tight fitted crop top.
It was long on me, covering my shorts.
In Texas, Nick and I's closets sort of merged together. He liked some of my baggy graphic tees, so he took some, and I often had some of his shirts and hoodies as well.
As I made my way through the house, I noticed George and Dream on the couch, watching a movie.
"What the fuck?" Dream says when he see me.
"What?" I ask, trying to detangle my hair with my hands.
"We thought you left last night." George says.
I shake my head. "I um.. I stayed."
Dream giggles and smirks. "You changed. I wonder whose shirt that is." He teases.
George gasps. "Loralei! You're dirty!"
I shake my head fast. "No no no! He lended me the shirt so I didn't have to sleep in my crop top. I swear. Nothing happened."
"So.. what.. you're like, friends now?" Dream asks.
I shrug. "I'm not sure. I'm just going with it. I'd like to be friends, but I'm not sure if that's what he wants too."
Dream nods.
"Ellie!" I hear, as loud footsteps run down the stairs.
I turn and see Nick about to round the corner. I tried to give him a look, signaling to be quiet, but he didn't notice.
"Where did you go?" He comes up to me immediately, though takes a step back when he notices George and Dream. "Fuck." He mutters.
"Woah woah woah." George stands up. "You slept in the same bed?"
"Well-" I try to defend myself.
Nick cuts me off. "Yeah. Jealous George?"
Dream laughs as George rolls his eyes and sits back down.
"So.. you're wearing his shirt, slept in the same bed, and come out at 1 pm with your hair messy and makeup smeared and expect us to believe nothing happened between the two of you?" Dream asks.
