Well as the title says, this specific chapter will address some of the changes I'll be making to Mythical Rose while writing this Revised version, without spoiling anything obviously. Feel free to ask questions and DO NOT mention any spoilers of the original book in here. If you do, I will delete the comment instantly.
Also, as of making this chapter, Mythical Rose Volumes 1-8 have all been unpublished from the account.
Alright, here will be some of the changes I'll be making.
1. Volumes 1 and 2: I'm just gonna say it. I absolutely hate what I did for Mythical Rose Volumes 1 and 2. They were written back in my very early stages of being an author on this platform and it not only shows in my writing style, but in also the obvious "similarities" to another book that I shall not mention. So yeah, after writing Akame Ga Vengeance and experimenting with Beauty and the Beast and Gundam Shadows, I realized that I could do A LOT better. So yeah, both of those Volumes will be heavily revamped. I may keep some things, but most of the things in it will be changed.
2. The Mythical Beasts: They felt way too shoehorned into the story. Especially during Volume 8, so I'll be revamping them completely, changing their designs and even removing some. That's all I say about them.
3. Ice Queendom: After Volume 1 is complete, I will write the Ice Queendom plot into Dragon's X Roses. Considering the Anime fits perfectly into the timeline of RWBY, it only seems natural to do this.
4. No more First Person Perspectives: After a certain point in Akame Ga Vengeance, I just completely stopped writing from a character's first person perspective cause I just was finding it easier to do third person, so yeah. Simple change.
5. Certain Oc Characters: Some Ocs that have appeared in Mythical Rose will be getting a revamp. Mainly, Team CRSL, Lucy, Lucifer and Lauren. Those characters will get a bit of an overhaul, including to their abilities. Heck, two of them may be completely replaced. Other Ocs will remain the same, however, such as Team RCST.
6. Volume 9: Obviously, Volume 9 will be added to the book. That's an obvious change but I'm still putting it here cause I know that there would be that one person to ask that.
7. Neopolitan: Now don't get me wrong, I am in love with what I did for Neo in Mythical Rose. However, I believe I could have handled it a bit better and now that the book, "Roman Holiday" is a thing, which covers both Neo and Roman's canon backstories, I think I have a better understanding on Neo as a whole and what to do with her. So yeah.
8. A new Oc: After watching Volume 9, I may have an idea for a new character that may be added. Only a very few people know of this character and those people barely even read my books lmao. This new Oc will be a bit of an experiment for a future RWBY related book that I'm gonna do.
9. Other Ocs: This one is to specifically address one person in particular. TheDarkEmperor Do not worry, those two characters will be the same as they are already. Though there will be minor changes, but nothing major that will completely change them.
10. RWBY x Justice League: Concerning this crossover, I'm still considering it. Mainly from the fact that it looks like, after seeing some stuff from Part 2, that the crossovers are actually Canon to RWBY since it seems to happen after Volume 9, I may consider doing it. Now whether it'll be a separate book or be a part of this one, I don't know. Don't get your hopes up cause I can very well change my mind about it.
11. Relationships: Last but not least, the relationships. Now before ANYONE assumes anything, NO I will NOT be changing any relationships so all the ones in Mythical Rose will remain the same as they are now. I'm just gonna be handling them better than I did in Mythical Rose. Not really a major change, but after reading other books and looking over my very own Akame Ga Vengeance, I feel like I could handle some relationships better in this book.
Well that's it for this post. And in case of anyone's wondering, no. Me making this does not mean that this book is next. I'm going to finish Before Genesis first before checking the recent Voting Session. But anyways, I felt I should make this to at least give some of the original people that read Mythical Rose a bit of a heads up without revealing everything.
