"Son of a bitch! I hate these stupid things!" Rigas threw down her own visor on the ground in anger.
Evelyn stayed in her position, calming down after her meltdown but pure rage replaced the grief, and she slowly turned her head towards one who started it all.
"You." Her pitch dropped to a low guttural growl as she spoke through clenched teeth, her glare was venomous against his. "You caused this."
Jiuming met her glare with wide eyes, and took a couple of steps away. "I didn't"—
"You didn't what?" She snapped back, "you didn't expect for all of this to go wrong? What the actual fuck were you thinking? 'We need to see what they're up to.' Fucking hell! We did not need to be stranded on a sea floor station, in the middle of the fucking trench, on the bottom of the fucking ocean!"
"It-It's..." He stammered, slightly terrified of the bluenette who was pushing herself off the ground. "It's for our discovery. You know that, Evelyn"–
"Science isn't going bring our to teammates back," she interrupted him, snarling at this point, "science isn't going to help us with the trauma we had just experienced, which almost costs us our lives. And I'm sure as fuck that science isn't going to stop me from personally strangling you in front of your niece."
To emphasize that, she brought up her gun and aimed it at his chest, tears obscuring her vision as her hands shook around the trigger.
"Eve," Jonas interjected with a warning tone, grabbing her shoulder and pulled her back until there's a significant amount of space between them. "Let's try to keep it together. We ain't out of the woods yet. We're not going to get out of this mess if we're like this."
"Don't you see, Jonas?" She turned to face him, her laugh was as bitter es the taste of grief on her tongue. "This is exactly like six years ago. Many people had died, all for the name of science. I just-"
She started cursing everything in Spanish, yanking his arm away to pace up and down without sparing a glance to the man at fault for all of this. Besides from her mumbling curse words to calm herself down, the atmosphere was thick with grief, tension and lots of anger.
When her steps finally slow down, the heaved out a heavy sigh. "Jonas is right," she said. "We need a plan to escape this place Preferably alive." she refused to make eye contact with anyone but instead, she began to take off her EXO-suit, seeing as there wasn't another use for it now that her oxygen was depleted and the visor imploded.
The others followed her example, until they were standing ther in the clothes they had on underneath. Which, in her case, were clothes she did not want to get wet.
She still had her jacket branded company branded zipped up jacket from six years ago, thrown over a blue tanktop, black cargo pants with laced up boots.
It's too late to change anyway.
"You still have that thing?" Jonas pointed at the jacket in utter disbelief while she answered with a shrug.
He rolled his eyes opened and the other door to the airlock, readying his blaster just in case there were enemies nearby stepped out first, with Evelyn covering the back for anything they might have missed.
She sharpened her senses of sight, hearing and smell, just to properly scan their surroundings.
The interior was blanketed with darkness so she could barely make out anything, specially when she's as blind as a Huntsman Spider (not really). A couple of lights were left on, but they were dim go they couldn't do much. She could hear water dripping from either pipes or from the ceiling nearby and looking over the railing she saw when the drop were absorbed into puddles as a ripple effect from the light being casted onto the puddles was created.
