"So, what article you're gonna write for the next month newspaper?" A girl in a ponytail asked. Her name was Mandy.
"Uh... it's about Shawn Mendes. He represented our school in the singing competition a week ago and he won," I answered. "The Boss makes me write about him."
"The Boss can be annoying sometimes..." she scoffed.
"I know, right?" I let out a small laugh. "Err... do you know Shawn Mendes? Because, uh I don't." I said, glancing at her.
"Shut up!" She said, a hint of excitement in her voice. "Of course I know him. Who doesn't? Duh."
"I don't." I simply reply. She stopped walking and stared at me. I stopped my walk and looked at her. Her face said are you kidding me?
"I really don't know." I shrugged.
"You're kidding me," She said and started walking again, leaving me behind her.
"Oh come on... I don't have to know about him, do I?" I said as I walked behind her. She turned around and pointing her index finger at me.
"You. My friend. Will get surprised when you meet him." She told me. Her face was serious. I got speechless and all I could do was nod at her.
After that, we both walked out from school and into each other's car. No, I didn't drive to school. My mother did.
I get in to the car where my mom was waiting for me.
"Hi mom!" I greeted her as I get in.
"Oh. Hi there Clarr," She smiled. "How was school?" She asked. Same question as yesterday.
"Exhausting as usual." I sighed, closing my eyes. I heard my mom laughed a little.

Mandy's words kept playing inside my head. But, I just gotta shake it off.
