Just chill, girl. I'll help you, okay?

Clarisse Martinez

"Mom?" I called as I entered my parents' room. I found my mom laying on the bed, reading a magazine.

"Yes, honey?" she answered, closing her magazine and put it beside her.

I walked toward her and took a seat on the edge of the bed. "Can I have a new glasses? Because this one is broken," I asked, pointing my glasses.

"Sure. We'll get your new glasses later, okay?" She smiled. "Right now, I've got a job to do."

"Yes, mom. Thank you," I returned a smile to her and hugged her. "I love you." I whispered as I hugged her.

"I love you too, Clarr."

"Mommy?" Someone called from behind. I let go from the hugged and turned around to see my little brother holding his Teddy bear.

"Yes, sweety?" My mom answered.

"Can we go to the park now? I'm so bored here," he pouted. My mom sighed. She was tired, what do you want Theo?

"I'll take him to the park," I offered to my mom. "You can rest here."

"Thank you, Clarr."

"Come on Theo! Let's go to the park with me." I exclaimed and then him and I left the room. "Wait for me, okay? I'll change first." I told Theo before I went to my room to get change.

I went to my room, changed into some skinny jeans and long-sleeve top, slipped in my Vans and took my coat. "Clarisse, are you done yet???!!!" I heard Theo yelled from outside my room. Geez, he's so loud.

"I'm ready Theo," I yelled back and ran downstairs. Theo has waited for me there. "Let's go!"

Hi I'm Clarisse Anne Martinez. I'm 16 years old. I'm a loner. I'm a quiet girl. Really quiet. I go to the best high school in town. People call me a nerd because I am. I don't mind if they call me things. No many people in school know me. I don't have many friends, I only own one. And that person is Mandy. Unlike me, she has got a bunch of friends and people like her so much. She is so kind, funny and cheerful.

I join Journalistic club, where you can find a lot of nerds there. I join this club because I love writing things and such. I write articles for my school newspaper. So that's all about my school life. It's not interesting, I know.

And about my family, I live with my mom and my 3 years old brother. My father died in a car crash when 2 years ago along with my twin. Yes, I've had a twin. He was the closest family member to me. He was just like another me. He knew everything about me. Okay, that's all about me.

---

"Clarisse!!!!!" I heard someone screamed my name. It must be Mandy. I locked my locker and turned around to see Mandy running toward me, papers in her hands.

"Yes, Mandy?" I said. She controlled her breathe before speak up.

"Which one do you prefer?" She asked, handing me three different papers She was holding. I read them all and picked the second one.

"I like this one." I replied, showing her the second paper.

"Thank you, Clarr. Yo da best." She gave me a thumbs up. "I'll post it on the next newspaper."

"Shoot." I slapped my forehead. I totally forgot about that.

"What's wrong?" Mandy asked, confused.

"I forgot about my article. I haven't even started it. And the deadline is in two days," I explained. I totally forgot my article about Shawn Mendes. What should i do? I might cry right now.

"You haven't finish it?" She questioned.

"I haven't even started it." I said, I kept playing with my hands. I always did that when I felt nervous or thought I did something wrong/stupid.

"Chill. I'll help you,"

"How???" I yelled.

"Just chill, girl. I'll help you, okay?"

I had to trust this girl. She will help me.
