"Ms Lee will face trial for aggravated assault and attempted murder. Pastor Lee Gil-seong, Ms Lee's father, has also been arrested for tax evasion. The church offerings and slush funds that he has been embezzling from for over 20 years are estimated to be worth tens of billions."
Yi-jae was paying attention to two things at the same time.
The news about Sa-ra. And her ex-husband leaving Hye-jeong's room.
Yi-jae, her kids and her father had all moved into the hotel room with Ye-sol. One divorce was finalized... the other was almost there.
Finally, Yi-jae saw Jae-jun leave. He looked like his typical self, striding confidently and wearing expensive clothing. However, Yi-jae could tell he was angry.
"You've gotten so quiet without your voice," Yi-jae noticed, paying no attention to how scared Hye-jeong seemed to be of her. Well, you'd be scared too if your affair's wife confronted you. "Guess it's hard to laugh at others' misfortunes in your current state."
Yi-jae barely heard Hye-jeong curse at her.
"By the way, that scar is in an area that will make it always itch, always sting, and always burn," Yi-jae revealed. "I guess Dong-eun's did too, once upon a time. I once told her to come back and take revenge when her bullies least expected her to. You forgot all about her, so it made things much more amusing, to be honest. I know there's someone you want to be remembered by too, isn't there? Dong-eun has already taken care of Yeon-jin and Sa-ra. So that leaves Jae-jun, doesn't it? Typical that it's my ex-husband that's left."
Hye-jeong gasped at the last sentence, choking slightly from her shock.
"He doesn't know. Not yet, anyway," Yi-jae continued. "Turns out you can divorce your spouse without their consent. I'm only telling you this because your scar will start to hurt before you can even explain all of this to him. But I also offer this; if you want to get revenge, I'll help you. Don't you want to get back at Jae-jun?"
Yi-jae reached into her bag, pulling out what Dong-eun had given her not too long ago.
"Yeo-jeong got everything?" Yi-jae asked.
Dong-eun handed over the bottle and the syringe. "I'm intrigued to see how you're going to get into his house. He would've changed everything by now."
"I have someone I'm confident I can turn to," Yi-jae revealed. "Just need to wait for the right moment. By the way, did you meet Yeo-jeong through Go? Do-yeong noticed the similarities in your playing styles."
Dong-eun hummed, "It's a good style."
"Perhaps I should have him teach me a few games," Yi-jae suggested with a small laugh. "Try and surprise Do-yeong."
Dong-eun smiled a little, trying not to laugh at the thought.
Yi-jae then voiced her next question. "I won't ever see you again after today, will I?"
Dong-eun nodded, "It's likely. But I hope you'll continue to remember how thankful I am for everything you did for me leading up to this moment."
"I am thankful to you as well," Yi-jae nodded. "I wouldn't have even thought of doing half of the things I've done if you hadn't been around."
"Jae-jun suffers from glaucoma, which my kids were also diagnosed with at a young age," Yi-jae explained as she placed the bottle of washer fluid and the syringe down on the table next to Hye-jeong's bed. "They use eye drops at least once a day to reduce the intraocular pressure. However, there are multiple incidents of something like windshield washer fluid or hand sanitiser getting in people's eyes. What's important is that Jae-jun won't see his redheaded models, those auto-show girls or even Yeon-jin with his eyes ever again."
