Taehyung had left, without a say. He didn't even think it was important to tell me that he's leaving, could have texted me if it was that important.

My eyebrows were furrowed, I was mad. Rightfully so? Maybe.

Why he thinks it's okay to treat me like his girlfriend all the damn day and then leave me like he has nothing to do with me the other. Why it gotta be like that?

"He might have kissed Dr. Tara, and felt guilty. So he left." Jimin mocked, with a sleek sarcastic smile hanging on his mouth.

He was confused when Tara told him about Lex Downey, a tall handsome friend of mine. It didn't took long for him to realise it was Taehyung when she mentioned about his interaction with the Cops.

"A man who is allowed to put his mouth on mine, anytime he wants, wouldn't go anywhere. I can assure you that." He again broke out in laughter, "Ten out of ten for your confidence, but you're wrong. He definitely can."

"Sure he can, but he wouldn't." Oh to be able to have him aroused.

Not a fucking chance. That man is stone to his bone. He would be having a women naked in front of him, and his mind would be calculating the odds that he might get stuck in an argument with the opposition.

"And may I know what will stop him to loose himself for a moment? Your love." He didn't take shit from no one, neither he was the kind of person who would sugarcoat the bullshit.

He was a man who wouldn't keep himself to enlighten you what exactly is wrong with your face. And he was doing the same right now.

"He's a Lawyer, Jimin." I was well aware of the man I love. "They happen to be very Calculative and a sturdier breed of humanity. They don't let themselve loose, not over womens. He's one of them."

To loose himself and his sanity wasn't in dictionary of Kim Taehyung. When it comes to his profile, he was one of the most careful people I had ever met in my life.

"Huh! A Lawyer, so he knows he's a cunt, and gave it a finish look, with a law degree." His mocking tone bothers me, but i relaxed. Sometimes Jimin seem like the person, he had warned me not to argue with.

It had been merely two months, I told him about the three years of relationship I had with Taehyung, only for our friendship to became a relation of dad and an Elder daughter.

"He's not that much of a Jerk you're making him out to be. It's just-

"Enough about him and his noble name that you keep chanting twenty-four, seven. It's your life, and i don't think after this much of advices and warnings a twenty-five year old needs a suggestion anymore.

You are well aware of what you're doing, right? Fair enough. I'm keeping my peace, you keep your choice.

We'll see the calculation of your lawyer and your love for him the day cops drag him to the court for three murders charges, and Jury writes him a death sentence—

"Enough Jimin!—— Just because I'm  listening doesn't mean you'll keep running your mouth with anything that crosses your mind." He got up abruptly leaving the room and slammed the door shut behind him.

"I'm not even allowed to throw something at him. Argh!"

Taking few breaths, I slumped back to my chair. How could he be that insensitive towards him? He never even met him, didn't talk to him and has the audacity to judge him like that.

"I'm not talking to him anymore." I startled when the ringtone of my phone bursted in the room. Swiping it up, i put the call on my temple, bursting with politeness, "What!"

I instantly regretted, it was mom. "Yeah mom! ——Eh, I will. Okay, Bye -"

She hung up on me without hearing my 'bye Mom'. There are guest, coming over to my house, I hope she isn't mad at me now.

My driver uncle picked me up in the evening. Jimin was being all professional, so I told him to take care of Evan, I had an important meeting at home.

"Here's my daughter!" His voice diverted attention to me, I Just kept my shoe at the shoe rack. I bowed with the respect, keeping my strap bag, and my purse to the table in living area.

"Get the dinning table ready, Liz. Your daughter is here!" I greeted him with a 'good evening dad', and told him to get to the table I'll change and be at the dinning hall within twenty minutes.

Carrying my purse and bag upstairs, first thing I did was to contact Taehyung once again. He wasn't picking up my calls, and it was driving me frantically crazy.

"Where the hell you are Taehyung?" I shoved my phone in my pocket, my dress had pockets. Taehyung had picked it up for me, and i bought it.

I wore a below knee length comfortable dress, it was enough of a dress-up for the sake of the guests.

It didn't took me long to take my seat beside my mother, across the supposed to be the son of his friend. I did a handshake with him introducing myself and getting to know his name. Shawn Echo.

Dinner had my attention. My mother had decorated the table with my favourites.

"You work at a hospital?" His mother made an attempt to start a conversation with me the minute I started serving in my plate.

"She's a doctor." My mom definitely loved bragging about me to her friends. At least one thing they can be proud of.

"She can cook?" Why? You got a food stall to run? Now, If I said that dad would say I'm being disrespectful.

"My mom had never let me set my foot in the kitchen. Though I can cook, but only if I'm willing to." Mom had taught me to when you answer the question of a man with an ego, be a cunt with elegance. It bothers them.

"I see, you got a sharp mouth young lady." He smiled pointing the chopsticks at his son, "You wouldn't be able to talk anymore." He laughed softly, with my dad accompanying him.

"C'mon don't say that." His mother chimed in, smiling. We had dinner at peace without the involvement of me and him after that. Though they continued to discuss about him and his career.

"We like Alyssa, it'll be a pleasure to have her as our daughter in law. Well rest depends on both of their decision."

"You both should go on a date, you'll be better able to talk to each other." Dad suggested and I nodded, taking out my phone to exchange numbers with him.

I instantly saved the number as 'Shawn Echo', CEO of a Gaming company. 'VALES'. It was a well known company, i just wasn't aware of it. I had no interest in companies and video games.

"It was nice to meet you." I accepted his handshake telling him 'likewise'. "Hope to see you soon." One last sentence I heard of him, before my family bid a goodbye to them.

"He is a nice guy, isn't he?" My dad asked my mom and she started blabbering all the symptoms she had noticed of a potential good husband and a life partner, making sure that I'm within the earshot.

My face fell when I came back to my room, my texts weren't seen. What got him this riled up, that he couldn't give me a call back? Not even a text.

He will care for me. He will be worried for me. He will be ready to stand up for me, no matter if I'm the one who's wrong. But when I do the same? He neglects it, avoids it like a Plague.

My phone buzzed, it was a 'Hi, its shawn this side!' Text from him. I replied, 'we couldn't talk much in front our parents, when you wanna meet up?'

He responded right away, that a weekend evening would be suitable for him. I agreed, it hardly would be matter of maximum two hours, I can manage that.

Shawn Echo

'BBN, 'Blackberry Nights'.
West City, 08:30 PM. Saturday, See you there!'

Sure, bye!

I put an end to the conversation, and he didn't see the last text. It wasn't seen for a good ten minutes. My thoughts were clouded, only Taehyung was on my mind. I hope he is safe and sound.
