It was a sunny day out.
And it always confused you.
If you were dead, and so was he..
How come the afterlife seems like normal life?

Cliff was up, and playing the bass
And you were watching him from the counter

"Baby..Do you miss life?"
Cliff asked randomly

"What?"
You responded

"Do you miss life.. like your friends... the life you left behind." 
Cliff said, sounding a little anxious

"Baby I feel like it was my time to go- I mean yeah I miss certain people.. why are you worried about it?"
You said, a little concerned for him

"I'm just worried that I'm the damn reason you died."
Cliff said as he put his bass down back on its stand.

"Cliff you're not the reason I died-? It was out of your control-"

Cliff only frowned at this
"Baby I'm so fuckin' worried that you don't like being with me.. I know it's random- but like-"

You shut him up with a kiss

"Baby it will never be that way. I love every day I have in this afterlife with you."
You said, hugging him tight.

Cliff only hugged you tighter
"Sorry." He said, smirking a little

"Why are you smirking?"
You asked, looking up at him

"You're short."
He giggled

The rest of you twos day was nice, he decided to take you out somewhere for lunch.

It was some random restaurant you both had never heard of.

"So... is your food good?"
You asked cliff, giggling a little considering he had stuff all over his mouth

"Yeah I think it's hella good."
He smiled before realizing what you meant

"Oh.. baby you're so fuckin' mean!"
he chuckled, before grabbing your hands

"I love you." He smiled wide

"I love you too."
You replied, smiling back.

You and cliff decided to go pay and leave,
On the way out cliff grabbed your hand,
Walking with you while smirking.

"What's on your mind now?"
You asked only because he was smirking.

"Nothing, just thoughts."
He smiled, walking you home.
