Aphrodite was angry again. But not at Hephaestus this time.
At Hecate.
"You didn't tell me someone could have more than one soulmate!" She said angrily, and Hecate narrowed her eyes.
"I thought you knew."
"MY soulmate is the soulmate to the rest of the Olympians!" Aphrodite screamed. "Except Poseidon, for some reason! And I can't even find her! There is no one on Earth with that name!"
"She may not be born yet," Hecate said as gently as she could manage. "The last name isn't a typical one; it may be quite some time before you meet your soulmate.
That clearly wasn't the right thing to say
"WHAT!?"

Aphrodite had calmed down enough to attend a council meeting, luckily enough. Unluckily, it was about their soulmarks. After a thorough chewing out from Zeus about it, where he basically yelled at her and Hera for nearly causing several wars down in the mortal world.
They then moved on to the real reason for the meeting.
"I understand that we all have the same name on our wrist," Zeus said, looking around at every god before stopping at Poseidon. "Except for you, Poseidon."
"I have my wife. I'm happy," Poseidon said, and Zeus accepted that with a nod.
"If we're not all very careful, we will scare this girl off," Athena spoke up. "To have the attention of most of the Olympian Gods would be... frightening for a mortal. We must be careful about this."
"I agree with Athena," Artemis nodded. "Might I suggest when we find her, only one of us approach her at first?"
They started debating how to approach her when the Fates appeared.
"Enough," One said, and they stopped arguing immediately.
"Clotho, Lachesis, Atropos," Zeus greeted them. "What business do you have in our Council?"
"You speak of plans not to scare off your mortal soulmate. We come with a peace offering. Books. These books will detail her life and allow you to make new decisions when the event comes to pass."
"Where are these books?" Zeus asked, and Atropos pulled a single book from her basket.
"For now, you will only have this one. We will arrive when you need the next. Before you begin, however, you must summon Hades and Persephone, as it is important they listen to the story as well."
"Very well, Hermes?" Zeus turned to look at Hermes, who was already gone.
He appeared a moment later, as did Hades and Persephone.
"Hades," Zeus said, and Hades nodded towards him. "I suppose Hermes already told you what this is about?"
"He did," Hades confirmed.
"Good," Zeus summoned two thrones, one smaller than the other, for Hades and Persephone.
Atropos looked at the surrounding gods and then showed them the book again before the book disappeared and reappeared in Athena's lap.
The Fates then disappeared.
Athena sat there, looking at the book. There was no title, so she opened the book and found the chapter title.
I ACCIDENTALLY VAPORIZE MY PRE-ALGEBRA TEACHER
There were a few scattered chuckles, but no one spoke as Athena began to read.
