Wonwoos has a loving and supportive family. Being the oldest sibling, Jeon Wonwoo was surprised when he came out as gay to his family and found out they were supportive. He was also more surprised when he found out that his younger brother, Xu minghao/Myeong-ho (nicknamed the8) was also gay. To say the least, was also very happy when his friends supported him but not surprised knowing that all of them were queer too.
On the other hand, Kim Mingyu was still closeted. He found out he was gay when he was 13. He liked his hyung, Scoups but now they're just friends. Coming from a rich family, he was worried his parents would be strict and disown him. Knowing the possible outcome, he chose to stay closeted and only came out to his close friend knowing all of them wouldn't be hateful about it.

"SHIT IM ALMOST LATE" Were the words Mingyu was thinking about while running to his locker. When he was running, he unfortunately bumped into someone. That someone was our lovely Wonwoo.
"Aigoo, i'm so sorry about that but i have to go! I'm almost late!"
"Wait you dropped your- ... what is this? Oh wait! YOU DROPPED YOUR PEN!" Wonwoo tried to call out for him but sadly he was too fast and was too far to hear him. "How am i gonna return this to him now? I don't even know that idiot"

"SORRY I WAS LATE SIR I OVERSLEPT" Mingyu dramatically bowed to his teacher.
"You're lucky you're a smart one, your punishment will just be extra homework but do it again and I'll have to put you in detention."
"THANK YOU SIR" He said as he walked over to his seat.
"The year barely started and you're already late again, did you pull an all-nighter?" Vernon, who is his friend and seatmate, asked.
"Yeah i was watching the new episode of pokemon" yes, you heard it. This Kim Mingyu is a diehard pokemon fan.
"Your funny, you know"
"I know, I also accidentally bumped into someone. I didn't recognise them so they had to be a upperclassmen"
Vernon chuckled "Makes sense since you were probably sprinting to class, by the way were doing page 17"
Mingyu tries to reach into his open backpack, only to realize that the only pen he brought was gone. "Shit, do you have a spare pen? I think i dropped mine when i bumped into that guy"
"Yeah here, next time don't run with an open bag"
"Yeah yeah i get it, thanks"
