15. FURIOUS

Kaveri was relieved after Krishna promised to give her 50 Crores of alimony in six months as she thought that he wouldn't agree so easily and thought that she would have to go the legal way for alimony.

Unaware of Krishna's evil intentions, Kaveri relaxed and decided to just make peace with the past and to build a future for herself.

The next morning, Kaveri woke up early in the morning and went out for a walk in the park. After seeing people jogging she too started jogging but due to her lack of proper diet and exercise from the past few years she felt weak. But after seeing others jogging made her feel motivated and instead of jogging, she ended up running and in her enthusiasm she couldn't see anything in front of her and fell down.

Abhay who was also in the park tried to stop the fall but he ended up holding her wig. Kaveri was shocked by the fall and was even more shocked to see her wig in Abhay's hand.

Unconsciously Kaveri held her hairless head and tried to stand up and seeing her futile efforts, Abhay helped her stand up.

It was embarrassing to Kaveri and not wanting her to feel more uncomfortable, Abhay gave her the wig back. She whispered thank you and left. After she left, Abhay couldn't stop smiling, recalling her embarrassed face.

Kaveri reached her home and recalled the encounter and scolded herself for being so clumsy. She thought he was a really kind man and that his wife was lucky.

She freshened up and just sat on the sofa when she heard noises from Krishna's home and she looked outside her window to see a few new cars and saw Krishna's sisters coming home. She sadly smiled seeing them as once they were her best friends. She closed the window to avoid seeing them and felt even more motivated to get the divorce soon and never see their faces ever again.

But unfortunately, the women came to meet Kaveri. She knows that it's all for the formality. Both the sisters looked at Kaveri and unknowingly their heart felt heavy. She was someone who grew up with them and even though they were cousins, they grew up like sisters.

Kaveri could see the pity in their eyes but she very well knew that they were also supportive of Krishna's second marriage. She realised that even though they were cousins, the moment she got married to their brother, she was less a cousin and more a sister-in-law. The dynamics changed. It started with the belief that the brother's wife is supposed to be subservient to her sister in-laws. Even though she was older, she was supposed to touch their feet at every special occasion and later their in-laws feet and later even their kids feet. First she thought that it was weird as she grew up with them and that they were younger than her but later believed that the daughters are goddesses of the family and she was supposed to respect them, pamper them and make them happy. She did everything from her heart. But what did she get in return?

After every delivery and after every death of her children, they thought that she was not worthy to stand beside their brother.

Deep down they knew it's unfair and if the same thing happened to them the entire family would stand by them but unfortunately, Kaveri had only one family and unfortunately the only family she knew stood against her and betrayed her.

They spoke to Kaveri and asked about her well-being, but she didn't want to talk to them and just answered their questions in single words but they had other plans. They brought up the divorce and tried to give her the hope that even after divorce they would forever remain as her family which made Kaveri laugh sarcastically and said, "I don't need you guys in my life and the reason I agreed to divorce is to never see your ugly faces ever again. Not to forget, it's also to get my Alimony."

Both sisters were shocked with her behaviour and more than that they were shocked hearing the word, "Alimony" and Kaveri who was angry with them wanted to show off her future wealth and couldn't stop talking about alimony and told them that Krishna agreed to give her 50 Crores.

The sisters were shocked and immediately left for Krishna's house to confront him and seeing their conversation Ramya couldn't hold any longer and confronted Krishna, "What should my children and I do after you give her 50 Crores? Should we veg on roads? Do you think 50 Crores is a small amount? I'll take my children and leave you if you even give her a rupee!"

His sisters too supported Ramya saying "Why does she even need money? She is a barren woman and what will she do with that kind of money? Who does she think she is? Our parents already helped her and her mother a lot. We owe her nothing. We feel bad for her situation but that doesn't mean we should let her take advantage."

Kaveri wanted to boost more about Alimony and got upset seeing them return to Krishna's house and followed them and seeing the women speak so cruelly about her in absence made her furious.

She kicked the main door hard for them to notice her presence and the people who were too furious to even notice her following them were shocked to see her.

The room suddenly fell silent and only Kaveri's furious breaths filled the silence. She first tried to control her anger but after a few seconds, she reached Ramya and slapped her multiple times and Krishna who was shocked pushed Kaveri away making her fall down. Kaveri raised her head and caught the sight of Ramya crying and everyone gathering around her and then again she stood up. Krishna, afraid of her behaviour stood in front of Ramya like a shield but this time Kaveri slapped both his sisters shocking everyone.
