"Iris Coleman please report to the principal's office immediately," came a monotone voice through the speakers in the hallway as I head to the second class of the day.

As expected.

The weird stares I've been receiving all morning intensifies and I walk briskly to the principal's office feeling slightly unnerved by them.
"Why does she smell weird?" I heard a student who scowled at me immediately I caught her eye ask another student who had a similar expression on his face as he appeared to be sniffing me.

What?

I discreetly sniffed my pits and I'm met with the lavender essence I used to bathe and I immediately conclude that those students just said that to make me feel bad.

I pass by the reception desk, ignoring the obvious sneer of the lady behind it as she does it to practically every girl and knock on the closed door.

"Come in," I heard the muffled voice of the principal beckon me.

Hesitantly, I enter the rather pristine office and I'm greeted with the cold air as the air conditioning was in full blast and I wondered if Natasha's mother was some expired product that required to be in such an environment to prevent spoilage.

Closing the door behind me, I finally look at Principal McKenna who I noticed has been looking at me with a cold calculating look that instantly made me shudder.

Is it just me or did principal McKenna just sniff at me?

She gives me a spine chilling smile.
"So you're Iris Coleman?"
Are you just knowing?
"Yes ma'am," I reply respectfully.
"Here have a seat, Miss Iris," I took a seat beside my mother who has been avoiding my eyes since I got here.

"So, I heard from your mother that you are being bullied," I shakily nodded.
"I am sorry to hear this happen to you Miss Coleman but I would like to have at least a name of the student," she says giving me a stare that could pass for faux concern.

Where do I start?

Natasha would be the first person on the li—! My train of thought is cut of by the said female barging into the office like it's her domain.

Think of the devil.

"Mom why do I smell a ro— oh of course it's you Iris." I hear the obvious sneer in her voice as I feel her gaze—ahem glare at the side of my face.

As expected, I feel mom's eyes on me and I feel it in my gut that she's piecing it together in her head.

"Natasha do you mind, I have a parent here and it's utterly uncouth that you barge in here without knocking," Principal McKenna grits out to her daughter.

"Whatever, just wanted to tell you that Leo's father is in town and will be here in less than an hour as he has something to discuss with you," Natasha says nonchalantly, paying mind to her manicured nails.

"I'm so sorry Mrs. Coleman, my daughter... she's—"
"Oh Iris is this your mom?" Natasha rhetorically asks, intentionally interrupting her mother and ignoring mine.
"Well that's surprising from what I heard."
My gaze turned icy as I stared at her.

*What is this b**ch tryna do?*

"Really? and what did you hear," Mom interjects, a hardness obvious in her tone.

"Uhhh that your parents are six feet under the ground and most probably doing the job of fertilizing the soil around them," Natasha finishes with a self satisfied smirk and something within me snaps.
