(Y/n pov)

I always had a thing for vampires, I've dated 2 in the past. Problem is, some monsters really do live up to their name, and in this case, blood sucking stone cold killers.

Hey, my name's Y/n and I'm 27 years old. To be honest, i've always been more attracted to monsters than humans, from wear wolves, to vampires, to ghosts. Like I said, I've dated two in the past, but they turned out to be assholes. A siren asked me out once but I said no.

Anyways, today's the day I receive my doctoral degree that i've worked super fuckin' hard for. After finally getting ready, I made my way to the university.

(Time skip: After event)

I got home, squealing like a little girl. I was finally done, done and ready to start my career as a psychologist. I always had a fascination with how the brain works, so that's what I wanted to work with.

(Time skip: 6 months later)

"Dont forget your coping skills, have a nice day."

My last patient of the day left the room, closing the door behind them.

"Finally, I'm done for the day."

It's now December, and I was free to go on my Christmas break.

"I should go on a walk."

I always loved taking walks in the winter, it was quiet and still, just the way I liked it. Thing was, I didn't do any winter walking last year because the previous year (year before last year), is when I broke up with the last vampire I dated and I didn't want to remember it.

I walked along the forest trail, dearly hoping I wouldn't come across anyone.

"This is nice, so calm and qui-"

My speech was interrupted by loud gun shots in the distance.

"Dammit, we lost him. Let's go boys, we'll get him later."

Vampire hunters.

Even though we live in a world full of monsters, society is still unaccepting of them.

The vampire stood up looking around.

I felt the need to help him, but I didn't want it to turn into something like it always does in movies. Ah screw it.

"H-hello?" I said nervously.

He looked at me worried.

"Don't worry, I'm not gonna kill you." I stated, calmly approaching him.

A small smile appeared on his face.

"W-what's your name."
"Jimin." He said, brushing the snow off him.

Jimin, I recognize that name, but from what.

"Are you okay?" I asked concerned.
"Yes, im alright, just in the wrong place at the wrong time, that's all."
"Ah."
"What are you doing out here all by yourself?"
"Oh, I was going on a walk."
"In the winter?"
"It's the only time I can get any peace."
"Understandable."
"Problem is, I think im lost, My phone died and I cant find the trail."
"I can help you."
"Really?"
"Yeah, but why dont we go to some place warm so we don't freeze."
"K."
