Years before.

When mountain was a kit, he was always made fun of because of his height and how skinny he was.

"Look at him.. Hes so skinny, his body looks so disproportionate." The other kits whispered, his head hung low as he hid in the library, his tail swaying as he looked through the gardening books. "I hate this. Why do i have to be so skinny.. and tall.." mountain thought to himself while crying and angrily looking through the books. This continued for years on end, mountain continued being insecure for years.

Present time

Mountain walked through the halls of the ministry, making his way to the greenhouse. As he walked he saw you, "y/n" he thought to himself as he walked faster, almost knocking you over as he hugged you, "woah! Whats wrong dear?" You asked worried, "bad memories.." mountain said as he sniffled and buried his head into the crook of your neck.

After a little while, you and mountain walked to the greenhouse together and as he opened the door to the greenhouse, you saw something on his wrist, not wanting to invade his personal space, you ignore it. Later, when you guys finish up in the greenhouse "can i stay with you tonight?." Mountain asks as if he was on the verge of tears "of course my flower" you responded, reaching up to cup his face with your hand, mountain purred in response and followed you to your room, his tail swishing back and forth rapidly as you both walked.

When you two got to your room, mountain seemed nervous and terribly anxious. As you both got changed into pajamas, you saw his wrist again, this time more clearly. You dressed before him and you softly sat down with him on the bed, carefully grabbing his hand "baby, mountain, what's going on?" You asked as you looked at his wrist "i-i.." is all mountain could get out before breaking down completely "oh baby, im not mad, i promise" you said softly, whispering into mountains ear "y-you arent?.." mountain said stuttering due to his sniffling "of course I'm not, but i want you to listen alright?" You said as you placed your forehead against mountains "I'll never ever get mad at you for something like this. But please try to promise you'll come find me or see me if you have those thoughts, alright? No matter what I'm doing, you come first" you whispered softly to mountain, he nods in response before kissing you for the first time. As you two broke the kiss, its as if fireworks are going off all inside your body "was that too much?" Mountain asks "nono! I really enjoyed it.." you replied as you carefully grabbed his arm, examining the cuts before kissing each and every single one of them, "this is why i love you so much" mountain says while taking off his mask, revealing his pink face, smiling and looking at you with complete love in his eyes.

After you helped him out by cleaning and bandaging his wounds, "what are we?" You asked as he lay on your chest purring away, "im not too sure, but im just saying i wouldnt mind being boyfriends" mountain said as he scooted up closer to your face and kissed your cheek, "then its settled, we're boyfriends" you said before kissing him deeply, keeping the kiss going for a few seconds. "I love you, y/n" "i love you too, mountain"
