You lay in an uncomfortable hospital bed, if you're being honest you're situation was depressing, and you were, you were most definitely depressed. You had a really hard time sleeping, eating food and drinking water was so very difficult and it always tasted dull. You'd think your family would try and make the effort to come and see you at the hospital. You were definitely pissed they hadn't visited yet but you always felt bad for being mad since your family was so busy and genuinely unable to visit. The doctors said it was very likely that you won't survive your illness, when you heard this you didn't know how to feel and honestly your emotions were numbed.

That morning, the moment you woke up after an attempt at sleep you actually felt exhausted, you were always tired but the tired you felt made you feel especially sick. Of course you notified the nurses that you felt like you were going to vomit, the nurse that visited you the most was a really sweet lady, her name was Sarah, she was actually the one that gave you the puke bag. You thought about what it was like before you were sick, you were actually a voice actor for a YouTube series, it wasn't as popular as many other YouTube animation series' but you had a comfortable amount of fans. You actually wrote your will a day after you were admitted to the hospital, that was actually the day that really dropped you into a depressive state.

You wrote that you wanted the voice acting script notes that you kept, to go to your younger sister, your note to her saying how you hoped she would keep them safe, in memory of you. You wrote that your older brother can keep your pc and games, he already knew the passwords to your steam and other gaming websites you used. You tried keeping in touch with your best friend, she managed to visit a couple times, and you decided she deserved a spot in your will. The message you left for her had you in tears, you wrote how you wanted her to have your phone, to never throw it away no matter how broken it would become. It held so many memories most of them spent with her. You and her were soulmates, platonicly of course.

The last thing written was that you wanted your brother and sister to have a split share of your money. You wouldn't need it if you're dead. Of course you'd have your fans notified about your death, you wouldn't want them left in the dark and wanting more updates from you. So you emailed your team, you let the director of the animation series know you didn't have much longer to live and that you had so much fun playing the characters you voiced. You said how greatfull you were to work alongside the other voice actors, pointing out how your favorite voice actor was the most underrated one.

You groaned holding your stomach your eyes fighting to stay opened, tears pricked the sides of your eyes. You knew it was time, you were all alone in a room stuck in a hospital bed, your head aching. A knock at your door caused a sob from you to be heard. The door opened and in walked Sarah "You have visitor's.." she said softly walking over, three people walking in right behind the nurse. Your brother, sister and best friend. You let tears flow as you sniffled, your heart swelling with joy. You're not alone, you're loved, and they were here. Your younger sister rushed over holding your hand "Please don't go-" she was already crying. "I'm so sorry, it's today. I'm so tired, and I can't stay, I wrote a will for you all." You pointed to a counter across from the bed you were laying in.

Your brother walking over and picking it up, he was so afraid to open it. He was already fighting back tears your best friend already beginning to cry. Sarah looked at you sadness filled her eyes but she gave a warm, small smile. "Please read it... out loud" you said your tear stained face breaking everyone's heart. Your brother hesitantly opened the folded paper and began reading it out loud for everyone to hear. He cleared his throat a few times pausing to wipe his tears away but continued painfully. After finally finishing, he covered his mouth crying. Sarah reaching for your other hand, squeezing it gently, your younger sister holding your hand resting it on her face.

You wiped the tears from her face looking at her with a weak smile "Keep those silly notes of mine in good condition ok?" She nodds and sniffles, You look at your brother silently seeing him nod at you, wiping his tears "You're amazing you know that?" He says quietly but still audible. You nod, everyone noticed your heart rate slowing, the heart monitor tracking your heart rate. Everyone taking their spot next to you on either side of the bed, everyone all became silent other than the quiet sobbing from everyone in the room. Sarah watched the time to keep track of the time of your death, you had a DNR set in place, you don't want to suffer through this longer than you had to.

You know Sarah and your brother hated it but respected your choice, your sister and best friend not as understanding and hating your decision. You blinked, your eyes now staying shut as your breathing slowed. Your mind was becoming more and more blank your grip on your sister's and Sarah's hand's loosened. The long non-ending beep of the heart monitor rang through the room. Sarah gets up saying "I'll give you three some time, I'm sorry for your loss.." The three nod their crying now preventing them from speaking at the moment. Sarah left to write down the time of death, as well as making calls to your loved ones to break the news.

Your eyes blinked open, it was so, so cold. You were shivering, a meow squeaking from your mouth, It caught you so off guard and it actually kind of spooked you for a moment. You realized you were on the floor and, and that you were really small. That or everything was just magically bigger. You went to say a hello as to call out for anyone only for another small meow coming from your small kitten mouth. You attempted pushing yourself up and walking, barely being able to crawl, you were so confused looking around. You were just in a hospital bed, why are you now in a large sewer?

The cold was too much for your small body, at this point you were just frantically meowing. You slowly came to the realization you were in the body of a kitten, how on earth did that happen?? You did hear some voices, it gave you hope and you tried meowing louder. Trying to crawl towards the voices that were becoming louder, they were getting closer! If you could smile you would but you're a cat. You could hear the conversation of the voices approaching "Dude! Not cool, why'd you do that?! One voice called out "Why were you in my way?" Another one said "Can you two stop?" A third voice chimed in, a very annoyed tone from them. They round a corner, finally in view. They were huge! They.. weren't human, then again, neither were you.
There were four of them, one with a blue mask, one with a purple mask, one with a red mask and the last one had an orange mask.

One more meow came from you, your small limbs tired, you also felt so, so hungry. One of the large humanoid looking guys spotted you and gasped dramatically, his eyes widened. "A kitten!" He said rather loudly, he rushed over, it was actually really scary. The huge green man with the purple mask picked you up "Let me see!" The orange masked one said rushing over, this one was shorterand had a more of an excited attitude. "Dude!! It's adorable! Can we keep it?!" Both the purple masked one and orange masked one turned to look at the one with the blue mask. The one with a blue mask on sighed his brows furrowed "I don't know, how are we even going to take care of it? It looks way too young." The orange masked one said "Awwe." but the purple masked one says "I know how to get what it needs, that'll be no issue, c'mon." The purple masked one also wanting to adopt you.

Didn't you have a say in this? You're attempted try at saying something about the situation just resulting in another meow. The two interested in adopting you looked back at you, the orange one saying "Awe, see? It's so sad, and shivering, and sad, and I bet it's hungry!" The blue one paused a moment, looking at your small shivering body then sighed again, bringing his hand to his face placing it on his four head "Fine..."
