Katsuki never seemed to get enough of villains. It was already his second encounter with them. This time he was not alone. The rest of the class was with him and even when they had been separated Kirishima was still there. Kirishima encouraged him - constantly spitting out compliments as if it was second nature. Katsuki Bakugou would never do such a thing. He couldn't.

There were injuries. None of which where either Kirishima or Katsuki. But he supposed he could be to blame for what happened to Thirteen, rushing in without thinking and attacking a villain. He thought he was doing a great thing but had he really? No. He hadn't.

He found out eventually the state his teacher was in. It was a good thing All Might showed up when he had otherwise they may not have had a teacher after. But again, Katsuki could do nothing. He was useless.

Even when the school brought around the sports festival as a means of publicly showing off what they had learnt from that experience, to possibly bring up they're spirits. Katsuki was nothing more than determined to prove he was not as useless as he had thought himself to be. But, due to recent events, other classes had targeted them - they weren't special just because they had encountered villains. Indeed, that was the case. They were not special in the slightest because, in some way or another, most had seen a villain in their lifetime. Katsuki had gone ahead and acted high and mighty for no reason.

"Man- I'm really excited for the sports festival like I watched the one last year and- oh man was it cool...", Kirishima grinned as they sat by their specific tree, "If we go up against each other, I'm so gonna win though."

Katsuki scoffed, "As if."

True to his word, Katsuki won. The entire thing.

But he hated it.

There was nothing about the way he won or they way he received his gold medal that made him happy. He was angry. Katsuki had not won in the way he had wanted to. Spoiled - that's what he was. Then he was tied up. For the whole of Japan to see. As if people had not given him enough backlash for fighting fair and square against a woman. Once again, he had brought unnecessary attention to himself. Unwanted embarrassment.

"Dude, I can't believe you won!", Kirishima smiled, "That's so cool. Really living up to your name too, ey?"

Katsuki ignored what he had said, tossing the medal to him. Kirishima's face dropped, "What are you giving this to me for? Hey—"

He did not mean to upset Kirishima but he didn't even want to look at it. Looking at it would've made him cry, "Don't fucking want it."

His parents had gotten home early that day, they had gotten a cake for him. Katsuki was that ungrateful he do so much as look at them as he walked in the door. He stormed up to his room and stayed there. Not bothering to get changed. His mind whirled with the many other ways he could think of that would further mortify him. He thought back to the many times he had done so.

Then he wished to be back on his middle school's roof. That had been where he felt the most calm, looking down, debating everyday whether or not to try it or not. To jump. He wished he had. Katsuki with all his heart wished that he had taken his curiousity a little further and jumped. There was no other way.

He couldn't imagine himself being happy. Katsuki felt as though he was too far gone for it. If he rocked up to school one day with a smile on his face, people would think he went insane. That is how far gone he was. There is no way. Not one reason in the universe that Katsuki could imagine himself with a smile on his face.

"Katsuki?", his mother creaked open the door. His father peaked in to. He saw their worried faces as he looked up at them. How ungrateful he must be. There was nothing wrong with him. There was nothing wrong with his family. They loved him and he loved them. But he really couldn't.
