yes." And with that everyone started cheering. Like seriously... is it that big of a deal? "Have fun," Jer said in a dull tone. Then he grabbed his tray and left the table. "What's his problem?" Sam asked as we all watch him leave the cafeteria. "Beats me," I replied. Why would he leave like that? Was it something I said? Is he jealous? Get a hold of yourself, Amber, why would Jeremy seek interest in you. I gotta stop telling myself that there's a future relationship with him--
"Amber!" Ashton shouted, snapping me out my thoughts. Everyone at the table was staring at me with straight faces. "What?" A question I asked but not really wanting an answer to.
While in an argument with Ashton about cars, I received a text from Jeremy.
Jeremy: We need to talk asap. You know where I hang out.
Why do we need to talk? I sent a quick text saying ok. "I have to go guys. I'll see yall after school." And without waiting for a response, I rushed out of the cafeteria and walked the deserted halls until I reached my destination. We were inside his mom's old classroom when she used to work at our school. Now she's a paediatrician.
I slowly opened the door and walked in and the lights were off. Dafuq? "Jeremy?" I whisper-shouted. I looked around trying to spot him. "Over here." The sound of his voice sent chills down my spine. What is this hold he has on me? I turned around and saw him sitting in the furthest desk in the back of the classroom. I quickly paced towards him and took the seat beside him. "What's up? Why are you here?" I should be asking him, why am I here. Why did he leave the cafeteria, but I'll just start with the simple questions? "I wanted to talk to you in private." He didn't even give me eye contact. "Okay speak."
"Well you know Mich? He doesn't have any intentions of just going on a date with you. He is known as a player around the school." Big shocker. "And you know this how?" I wanted to know. "Known him for quite some time, he's never dated a girl without going straight to home run." Aw, he cares. "Well, maybe I want the same thing." I rolled my eyes. "Thank you, Jer. I don't know what I'd do without you." Hint my sarcasm. It's like the universe is after me. I can't seem to find a guy who genuinely likes me. Maybe this is a wake-up call to not date anyone from my school. Even if I loved him since 3rd grade. "Amber you aren't even like that. You're one of the good ones." He responded. I slightly offended. I am not just some church girl. "I am like that. And what I do with any guy is none of your business." He flinched at my words. I got out the desk in an attempt to leave all dramatically like they do in the movies where the guy chases after her. "Am I just don't want you to get hurt." This is the part where he finally confesses his love for me. And just like in the movies, he took a step closer to me. Our bodies just a few centimetres apart. He strokes my left cheek while gazing into my eyes and what looks like leaning in-
RINGGGGG! Curse that damn bell. He let go of me and began heading for the door. I was left in awe. Yeah, he still has the effect on me. "Well, are you coming?" He asked holding the door opened for me. What a gentleman. "Y-yea." And by the time I almost reached the door, he ran out and slammed it shut in my face. And I could hear him laughing down the hallway. What a gentleman...
"Hello, my mental and adorable best friends." I greeted them. They all totally ignored me and each hopped in Alex's truck. We drove to this great pizza place and each ordered our own box of pizza. We were engaged in separate conversations. "So you're going to take Spanish 3?"
"Yes. I'm going to pass very easily because I'm Hispanic." Alex said between chews with his cheeks filled with pizza. "Well, that's kinda smart.." I complimented whilst reaching a handout. "High five bro." He happily returned the gesture. "So Am, what are you doing winter break?"
