»»——⍟——««The morning sun shone brightly over the crystal palace of Queen Dawn, casting a warm glow over the castle grounds. The sound of horses' hooves echoed through the gardens, signaling the approach of Dawn and her sister Devina, seated side by side in the royal carriage.
As they rode, Devina watched the passing landscape, her eyes bright with excitement at the prospect of a new adventure. She turned to her sister with a playful smile.
Devina : "Are you excited, sis? I can't wait to see what's waiting for us in Mobius Village."Dawn returned her sister's smile, feeling a jolt of excitement in her stomach.
Dawn : "I am,"
she said.
Dawn : "But I'm also a little nervous. We don't know what we're up against. But I have faith in us. We'll make it through."As the carriage approached Mobius Village, Dusk, sitting in the back, was busy eating a small bag of candies to calm her nerves. The sweet flavors exploded on her tongue, providing a much-needed distraction from her anxious thoughts. She leaned forward, looking out of the window.
Dusk : "We're almost there,"
she said, her voice filled with anticipation. The carriage rolled to a stop at the village's entrance. The three of them stepped out of the carriage and were greeted by a crowd of cheering villagers. Dawn gave them a smile and waved, her nerves now replaced with excitement at the prospect of this new adventure.
The sound of cheering and clapping welcomed them as they stepped off the carriage, red carpet stretching out before them like a warm and inviting trail leading to the villagers. Dawn and Devina waved and smiled, their hands rising and falling in sync in a symphony of greetings, their eyes sparkling with excitement.
Dawn and Devina walked across the red carpet, waving at the cheering villagers who had gathered to welcome them. Dawn, the princess, waved with a smile, but Devina waved with a shy face, not being used to the attention. Dusk was also walking with them, her bored and sarcastic wave was barely noticeable amongst the others.
As they approached the village, they noticed that the villagers were all dressed in their best clothes, excited to meet the three new visitors. Dawn nudged Dusk to wave with more energy as they walked. It was important to show respect to the villagers, and Dawn didn't want them to think that they were rude or uninterested. Reminding her that they were there to help the village, and the least she could do was wave with a smile, which Dusk then did, albeit still with a hint of sarcasm. She just wanted to get out of there, away from all the fanfare and into the adventure they came here for.
As Dawn and her sisters approached the village, they were greeted by an excited crowd, all eager to meet the three visitors. However, it was one face that caught Dawn's eye, a face that had been absent from her life for far too long. As they walked down the red carpet, the face of Sonic the Hedgehog was among the crowd, surrounded by his friends.
Sonic the Hedgehog's eyes widened at the sight of the three ladies coming down the carpet. He couldn't believe that he was seeing Dawn again after all these years. He was a young lad when they met, and she was already a princess by that time. It was a chance encounter, but to them, it felt like destiny.
Sonic : "Dawn!",
Sonic exclaimed with a smile.
Sonic : "It's so good to see you again."Dawn's eyes shone with recognition.
Dawn : "Sonic! I can't believe it!"
she said, her arms outstretched. The two hugged, and it felt like no time had passed at all.Devina and Dusk stood by, watching with interest. Dusk appeared to be growing bored by the exchange, but Devina was eagerly taking in the conversation.
Dusk : "Ugh, hugs."
Devina : "Don't you love hugs?"
Dusk : "Yes, but that hug seems real tight."As they got to know each other again, Sonic introduced his friends.
Sonic : "This is my good friend Tails. He's the genius amongst us."He paused to gesture to the two friends who were standing by his side.
Sonic : "And this is my other good friends, Knuckles and Amy. They're the fighters here."Dawn, Devina, and Dusk greeted the two with a polite nod. Dusk still looked bored, but Devina seemed intrigued by the three friends.
Dawn : "Nice to meet you all, I'm Princess Dawn and these are my younger sisters. Devina and Dusk."
Sonic and the others how we their head slightly as she introduced them to one another.
Sonic : "Well, since you're all here, what's next?" Sonic asked, his curiosity taking over.Dawn : "We're here to help you, of course,"
Dawn said with a smile.
Dawn : "And my sisters, too. It's nice to know that we're not just a princess. But we're also warriors."
The two shared a warm smile, filled with a sense of nostalgia that only one who has shared a childhood with another can understand. However, Dusk grew increasingly bored as the conversation dragged on. She looked away, distracted by the other village folk as they spoke. She couldn't wait for the conversation to end, to finally be free of this boring village, and to start their real adventure.
Dusk's eyes wandered over to Tails, who stood next to Sonic with a cheerful expression on his face. The sight of the fox-like boy sent a fluttering feeling to her heart, and she couldn't help but blush at the sight of him. She quickly looked away, trying to hide her embarrassment from the others, but the fastening of her heart was not something she could contain so easily.
Her cheeks began to heat up, and she tried her best to keep her gaze away from Tails. The conversation between Dawn and the others seemed to go on endlessly, and she felt her attention drifting away from the words being exchanged and towards the boy she couldn't take her eyes off.
When they finally finished the greetings, Dusk breathed a sigh of relief, glad to be finally free from the grip of her heart beating too loudly, and ready to embark on their adventure with this curious group.
Devina had noticed Dusk's expression earlier when they had first arrived at the village and couldn't help but tease her a little. She leaned over to her, smiling playfully.
Devina : "What's the matter, Dusk? You seem a little distracted by something,"
she whispered, not trying to make her sister embarrassed, but rather trying to get her to relax and enjoy the moment instead of being embarrassed.Dusk couldn't help but feel her face heat up even more as she blushed even more. She looked away quickly, trying to avoid Devina's teasing gaze.
Dusk : "It's nothing,"
she said quietly, trying to sound nonchalant.Despite Devina's efforts to bring her sister out of her embarrassment, she couldn't help but feel a certain sense of camaraderie with her. They had always been close, and Dawn had always been like the glue that held them together. The three siblings were united, and they knew that they could rely on each other in times of need.
As Sonic led them to their headquarters, the group walked arm in arm, ready to take on whatever challenge awaited them.
