Chapter 10 - Dark Reunion

Klaus had used a spelled of a Bennett witch to possess Alaric. He had been monitoring everything from afar and after Katherine's failed attempts in his later revealed plans surrounding the moonstone, he decided to pay a visit to her compelled her to attack Jenna to send a message to his foes.

Damon is outside talking to Mason after he and Benji had a confrontation. Benji realized it was an eye for an and Mason struck first and told them they needed to end the stupid beef for the sake of everyone because there were more important things to focus on and he leaves to enjoy the party.

==Smallwood Mansion==

Damon spoke without moving. "I'm not like you."

"You're not as different from us as you want to think," Mason said.

"Look," he added, an odd note of challenge in his voice, "I know you killed people in in self-defense, you told me so yourself. And I know you didn't come here to Falls Church because Bonnie's spell dragged you here, because I sorted the hair and I didn't make any mistakes. You're more like us than you admit, Damon. I will say it again. Let's be above ancient beef that has nothing to do with us because we are all in grave danger."

Damon snapped, almost automatically, "Danger!"

[Memory swept over Katherine. Herself standing outside her the Smallwood's mansion, Damon now standing beside her.]

"Wanna tell me wants going on?"

"Mason find Tyler."

"Okay Katherine. I'll brb."

[Mason leaves.]

"You know I met with Klaus at a time in which I was very ill and my handmaiden, Gudren, believed I would die. In turn, Gudren sought help from a man named Klaus. That's when I first met him. I felt a great fear and terror, however Klaus was willing to exchange blood with me without hesitation. Secretly, Klaus kept an eye on me from that day. My health improved and her father took her to journey to find a cure in the event that I would fall ill again."

"Is this why you were so hell bent on getting the moonstone so bad? All of the manipulation. Having your loved ones burned in the church for your own survival? Mason & myself and my brother almost dying? Putting Elena's family through more pain now that Jenna's in the hospital?"

[Katherine looks at Damon.]

"After a battle with Elena, Stefan, and you, I became unstable with elements of insanity. After the death of you and Stefan (which turned them into vampires), I was once again approached by Klaus who taught me the extent of my true power. He manipulated me and as a result I had no choice but to kill him. Bonnie's visions fortold a darkness coming to Falls Church, understand, a menacing power has come to Falls Church, Klaus. I failed my end of the deal. We are all doomed!"

==Richard's office==

[Tyler is drinking and he is talking to Klaus and two other females]

"So Mason told you how to become a werewolf, but he left out some rather important details."

"Wdym?"

"The Salvatore's tried to murder your uncle. You need power to stop them."

[Tyler begins to think and look at his hands.]

"Follow me."

"Okay."

==Mayor's Office==

"And I need everyone to be on gaurd. I was told just now a darkness has slipped into town under our noses so be alert. It's the masquerade ball and we don't know who they are. Be careful.
