Beginning the Journey

Leaf is a young aspiring Pokemon Trainer with big dreams. "Hello Leaf," she said. "Are you all ready to start your journey?"

"You know I am," Leaf said excitedly. "I'm so excited! I can't wait to start training and catching new Pokemon! My journey is going to be amazing!"

"It sure is," her mom said. "But just remember to be careful out there."

"I will, mom," Leaf said. She gave her mom a big hug. "Bye mom! I'll see you again soon!"

Leaf opened the door and stepped out into the Pallet Town sunshine. She looked at the horizon, ready to start her journey.

"This is the beginning of the rest of my life," she said to herself. "Let's go!"

Leaf made her way through Pallet Town, greeting all the familiar faces and making her way to Professor Oak's laboratory. She knocked on the door, and Professor Oak answered.

"Hello Leaf," he said. "You ready to get your first Pokemon?"

"I'm so excited," Leaf said. "Can I see the starters?"

"Of course," Oak said. "Right this way."

He led Leaf to the room where the three starter Pokemon were kept. His grandson, Blue was there waiting impatiently.

"Took you long enough." he said. "Let's hurry up and pick our starters already."

"Calm down, Blue," Oak said. "There's no need to rush." He turned to Leaf. "So which one will it be, Leaf?"

Leaf looked at all three of the starters. "Hmm...this is a hard decision."

Blue sighed impatiently. "Well, which one are you picking?"

Leaf looked at her choices. One was a fire type, one was a water type, and the third was a grass type.

"Hmmm," she said. "I think I'll choose the water type." Blue laughed.

"Are you kidding? A water type is no match for my fire type," he said. "You should pick the grass type, it would make things interesting."

"No thanks," Leaf said. "I've always liked water types."

Blue shrugged. "Whatever," he said. "Let's just hurry up and get this over with."

"All right, then," Oak said. "Now that you've chosen your starter, here are your Pokedexes."
