"Bye mom! Bye dad! I'm leaving! Also i'm going to stay at Mikes today after school but i'll be back before dark! Love you!" I shouted to my parents grabbing my keys and wallet before opening the front door. "Okay son sounds good!" My dad shouted. "Drive safe! Love you!" My mom added from her room. I walked out the door and closed it behind me. I grabbed my car keys from my pockets and got into my car. I threw my backpack in the backseat and drove off. It was a nice Friday morning so I decided to stop by my boyfriend Mike's house who only lived a few blocks down from me. After a few minutes I arrived at his house and parked my car before knocking on the door
"Knock knock Schmidt family! It's me!" I shouted while knocking on the door. After a few minutes the door opened and there stood Mikes mom
"Y/n! What a pleasant morning surprise! I'm assuming you're here for Mike?" She asked giving me a hug, I hugged back and responded
"Morning Mrs. Schmidt. You would be right i'm here for Mike. I thought I would save you the trouble and take Mike to school." I smiled as I walked into the house. Mrs. Schmidt closed the door behind me and entered the kitchen. His dad wasn't eating breakfast so I assumed he already went to work
"Aww thank you so much Y/n that's very nice if you. Would u like some breakfast?" She asked. "No i'm okay I already ate thank you tho" I responded
"Mike's in his room" She said pointing to his room with a spatula. I thanked her and walked up to his closed bedroom door and knocked a couple times
"I said I'm getting ready mom!" I heard on the other side of the door before it swung open and I was met with my handsome boyfriend. "Y/n? What are you doing here?" He asked excitedly before wrapping me in his arms. I smiled and wrapped my arms around his shoulders in return
"I decided to stop by since I was in a good mood. Also I had some time... and it's Friday" I said letting go of the hug. He smiled at me and turned around to finish getting dressed while I sat on his bed waiting
"So how's Abby? Is she crapping everywhere?" I giggled beginning to lay down on his bed
"That's disgusting Y/n. Also, she's doing good." He smiled before grabbing his backpack and walking out. I followed behind him and saw his mom eating breakfast on the table. I sat down opposite of her and Mike sat beside us with his food on his plate. He started eating while his mom started talking to me
"So Y/n are you gonna tell your parents today?" I looked at her and then looked at Mike. He was too busy devouring his food to notice what she asked me
"I uhh... don't know yet. I don't think they're gonna react the way I want them to." I said looking towards Mike who was now swallowing his first few bites. He asked what was happening so I caught him up with our conversation
"Wait really? You're actually going to tell them today?" He asked getting excited
"I said "I don't know yet" Mike. I still don't think they'll accept me." I said started to get a little worried. Mike finished his food and put the plate in the sink and sat back down. I looked at the clock and we had to leave within the next 5 minutes or we were gonna be late to school
"Mike we have to go or we're gonna be late" I said getting up from my seat
"Y/n before you go. Even if your parents don't accept you you're always welcome here no matter what. Okay?" Mrs. Schmidt reassured me. I smiled and thanked her before Mike and I got into my car. I was about to drive off before Mike spoke up
"Y/n?" He turned around to face me. I looked at him and he continued. "You don't have to tell your parents about us if you don't want to" He put his hand on my lap. I looked at his hand and back at his face, examining his facial features
"You look really handsome today" I cupped his face with my hands. He smiled and then started blushing causing me to smile too
"I'm serious Y/n." He said turning around and facing forward. I sighed and reassured him I was going to do it before driving off
"And also I know, you tell me i'm handsome basically everyday!" He said putting his backpack in the backseat
"Oh i'm sorry am I not allowed to tell my boyfriend I think he's handsome everyday?" I asked pretending to get angry. We both chuckled at the joke and after a couple seconds I asked Mike if he wanted to listen to some music
"Yeah that sounds good do you have any CD's?" He asked looking through the glove box.
"I only have a couple Michael Jackson CD's but I plan on buying more this weekend." I stopped at a red light. Mike smiled at me and pulled out a CD. He looked at the CD and his eyes lit up "Off The Wall? I love this album!" He looked at me and smiled, his beautiful smile that makes me melt in place. He took out the CD from the case, put it in the Radio, and clicked play before I drove office
Mike was dancing and singing along to the music. I was laughing and singing along with him but still trying to keep my eyes on the road. We were only able to listen to the first song before we arrived at the school. I parked in the schools parking lot and stopped the radio before turning off my car
We got out the car and grabbed our backpacks from the back seats. As we were walking up to the school I told Mike to stop. "What is it? Are you okay?" He said to me in a concerning voice. I cupped his face and kissed him, he immediately kissed back. It felt like a minute but was only a few seconds. I let go of the kiss and smiled at him while he processed what just happened
"What was that for?" He chuckled at me. I shrugged my shoulders and smiled gently grabbing his hand and interlacing our fingers. We walked into school hand in hand, smiling widely, being more affectionate than we usually are
