After Thought

Barely anyone survived the Massacre that happened two days ago. Randy Meeks barely survived. Stu Macher was in intensive care, and so was Billy Loomis.

Sidney was slashed on the arm, but it wasn't as bad as Tatum, who was gutted entirely. I think it was purely bad luck for Dewey to have found her in the basement the way she was.

You were in the hospital for three weeks, and your stomach had been punctured in such a way that it would take a while for you to eat solids again.

"Hey, Y/n... I brought chicken nuggets!" She gave you the Wendy's bag, "your aunt says you're being released tomorrow. Is there anything you want to do?"

You shook your head. She had visited every day to make sure you were fine, but you barely said a word.

"Even visit Stu? They have to sedate him every time he wakes up. He's on IV because he won't eat." Sidney would keep you updated on Stu, seeing as you weren't able to leave your room to visit him.

Did you even want to visit him? You didn't know if he was a part of it, but you did know that Billy had tried to kill you.

Maybe he didn't care after all.

"Fine. I'll visit him." You slowly got up from the bed, and Sid helped you get dressed.

Your aunt was filling forms to release you, so Sidney grabbed your duffel and walked you to the door. You could hear yelling from the room.

You saw a nurse prepare a syringe in front of the room, "I'm here to see Stu Macher."

She stopped and saw you, "he only wants one vis-"

"I know." You looked her dead in the eyes and walked into the room while Sidney waited outside.

"NO, LET ME SEE HER -" Stu thrashed around as doctors tried to hold him down.

"Mr. Macher, please calm down. You're going to pull all of your stitches again." A doctor forced his hand down.

His heart rate slowed as he stopped thrashing, "Y/n."

You walked in as they all looked at you, "where have you been?"

You looked at him, confused, "Didn't they tell you? I was across down the hall."

"Why would you be down the hall?" Stu sat up, confused as you stood there awkwardly.

"He- uh... he stabbed me." You slowly walked closer as Stu didn't respond.

You held his hand as he looked at you, speaking as softly as you could. You led his hand to your stomach, letting him feel the fresh scarring.

"They don't know if I'll be able to have children, and it will be a while until u can eat hard foods." The doctors and nurses left the room when one of them noticed your wristband.

Stu started to cry, "I'm so sorry baby, I should've listened. If I had known he was going to stab you too, I wouldn't have -"

Your eyes widened, "you knew what he was planning?"

Stu stumbled on his words, "I- yes, but it wasn't my idea."

You stood there as he tried to explain himself quietly so that anyone outside wouldn't hear him, "You knew."

"Yes, bit it was Billy's plan. He thought that after a big massacre like that, Ghostface could go away forever, and no one would question us since we were attacked." Stu held your hands tightly.

"Please don't leave me." Stu squeezed your hands tightly, "please don't go."

You stood there for a moment, "so what was the plan? Kill everyone after we agreed not to?"

"Not everyone. Just those who needed to go. A last hurrah of sorts, for him to go out with a bang." Stu played with your small fingers.

"Tatum, those guys who wanted to rape you. Some other people who were harmful to us being caught.

Billy and I were supposed to get caught by him, to throw suspicion, not you. You're our final girl."

You stood still, not saying anything, "Sweetheart, please."

From what it sounded like, Stu didn't know Billy was going to kill you, just those surrounding people.

"I- I need some time. I love you so much, but I... I don't know what to think." He gripped your wrists.

"You can't leave. I just got you back." Stu pleaded as your eyes widened, "I didn't know what happened to you, please."

His eyes bore into yours, "Please stay with me."

Something inside you clicked. You realized at this moment that Stu had been neglecting himself so that someone would even mention you.

You weren't addicting to him. You were essential. He couldn't breathe, let alone function without you.

You pulled his medical robe down, exposing his collar, "I'm not going anywhere."

Your nail grazed the bite mark, "do I need to remind you again?"

Stu froze, his brain overloaded, and a nurse walked in to see if he wanted to eat. The man stopped at the door with the tray, waiting to see what would happen.

You let go of his collar and cupped his face, "I'm not going anywhere."

"Promise?" Stu's tears finally came to a halt.

"I promise." You kissed him and slowly let go of him.

"Right now, I want you to take care of yourself. Eat, please." You walked to the door.

"Y/n?" Stu said once more before you left, "I love you."

You turned, giving him a smile, "I love you too."

You walked out with Sidney as she made fun of you, "Oh Y/n, I love you, never leave me. Oh, Stu, I would never, I love you too."

She made kissed noises as you playfully shoved her, "Oh stop it."

"Ready to go?" Sid tossed your duffle bag in the back of the car.

"As ready as I'll ever be." You said, hopping in shot gun.
