Told from Remus' POV, set around chapter 7-8 of Prisoner of Azkaban

I lay there in my bed at night

In the ghost of your warm embrace

Inexplicably, I think of chocolate frogs.

They were always your favourite treat

I said your love was ten times more sweet

But now it is bitter betrayal.

I wonder, Padfoot

Why you went to his side

To sell your best friend for little in exchange.

Why you left us, left me

For some meaningless manic pride

Left two friends dead, one estranged.

Could I love a murderer?

Some small part of me is hoping, praying

That this is just some cruel trick

Played on us by Fate

Now you've risen from the depths of Azkaban

Like a dark phoenix

But the question remains

Can we forget about it

Perhaps occasionally reminisce

Over a chocolate frog, or

Are you going to kill me, Sirius?

A/N: Please excuse the lack of rhymes, I'm not very good at that. Or poetry writing, for that matter. Anyways, hope you enjoy it, at least a little bit!
