Summer nights in Melbourne

Chapeter 1

I fumbled around aimlessly hitting my bed side table trying to get my alarm clock to stop that stupid annoying noise.

"CARLY COME ON ITS THE LAST DAY OF SCHOOL YOU DONT WANT TO BE LATE"

My eyes began to focus and take in the content of my room nothing but curtains, my bed. And a whole load of boxes

I suppose j best introduce myself instead of you wondering who I am

I'm Carly, an average 18 year old girl with long brown hair that goes just past my belly button with bright green eyes a tongue piercing and a size 8 stretcher in my right ear a Black Country girl born and bred (AN-incase you don't know where the Black Country is its in the UK and area called Birmingham used to be known as the Black Country so if u see that in the book I'm on about an area in the UK)

Just as I was about to get out of bed and jump into the shower my mom burst in the room with her pj's on and her hair up telling me to get up and out of bed I don't even know how she does it just gets up opens her eyes and BOOM she's awake no coffee no nothing

"Carly come on I've called you three times already its eight o'clock and your still in bed"

I jumped out of bed with all of my night and ran to the bathroom screaming
"SHIT IM LA-"

"LANGUAGE YOUNG LADY"

I poked my head around the bathroom door and shouted sorry to her just as I began brushing my teeth and I had put my hair up in a high pony tail my little sister ran in the bathroom and ran into my leg with a bang she landed on the floor with a small oomph common from her mouth

"Morning little misses"

I bent down so I was eye level with my sister Echo i know I know weird name but she loves it and so do we her small petite frame sat on the floor as I finished brushing my teeth she was only small even though she is only 3 I picked her up and walked into my room so I could get dressed in my rather crappy school uniform a black pair of trousers and a navy blue blazer with a black tie I don't much care for make up but when I have time I do like to wear it I looked at my watch and realised I did all that in 10 minutes and I still have time to add my make up I apply concealer to my face to hide the blemishes that have appeared over time and a small amount of foundation after that I applied my eye shadow and eye liner for a smokey eye effect with some bright red lipstick I know fashion runway look much I was just about to Finnish my make up when Echo pulled on my blazer and pulled a face like a fish at me I knew exactly what she wanted I pulled out my clear lip gloss from my makeup bag and applied it to her lips not a lot though because I'd like to think that she looks pretty without adding make up to her face because really shes a little heart breaker with light brown hair in wavy curls that flows just past her shoulders and bright blue eyes she's the most caring sister I could ask for when I finished with my lipstick I walked down the stairs with Echo on my hip and grabbed an apple from the basket

"MOM, I'm going now Echo's downstairs"

And with that I walked out of the house with my bag and my phone not forgetting my earphones it was only a short walk to my school as I walked out of my street I saw Lauren my best friend walking out of her house with her boyfriend Michael following not far behind Lauren is a tall girl at a height of 5ft 11 towering over my frame of 5ft 5 she has flawless blonde hair the shade every girl would want and deep chocolate brown eyes people think Lauren is a stuck up rich bitch because her dad is a CEO of a major company somewhere in France but believe me she's not if she wants anything she will work hard and earn it without running to daddy dearest and getting him to buy it with a snap of his fingers

"LAUREN YOU LITTLE BITCH GET HERE AND SAY HI TO ME!"

Plenty of people were walking around by this point and gave me a lot of strange looks but hey I'm a teenager what else would you expect

"CARLY!" She screamed

Slowly but surely she began walking down the street to me holding on to Michael's hand they were the best couple you could imagine they weren't the typical popular girl and football captain they were both science geeks with the ability to go on to university as soon as possible.

" so Carly it's the last day of school and the first day of summer what are you planning to do over the summer holidays"

Lauren looked intrigued while Michael looked as if he had forgot his science homework whoops for him

" I think I'm moving you know with mom getting a new promotion somewhere I'm not sure where though she never tells me till the day we're moving so I'll be away for the summer"

I explained I wasn't very happy with going away for the summer but hey a single mother has to have a way of bringing money in and keeping food on the table clothes on our backs and I take my hat off to my mom she's been an awesome mom but been a bad ass dad too

We walked for about 5 more minutes before we got to the gates of hell also known to the young population as school but hey it's the last day what can go wrong
