I had arrived at where I was supposed to work at now, and stood in front of the half rotten and fallen apart building. It was raining, of course. My hands searched my pockets desperately very eager to escape the cold rain that stained my clothes and soon soaked my hair. "I hate this already" I mumbled through closed teeth and finally got a hold of the key to the chain keeping the gates closed. The chain fell and I quickly slipped inside the gate and half ran up to the entrance with a very troubled face expression when the rain blew into my face. A couple of curses flew from me as I took on the handle. Quickly getting the lock unlocked with another key I burst the door open and ran inside, slamming the door after me.
"Hallo?"
I called out, knowing no one would be here.. but just in case. Actually I didn't know why I had the urge to call out, but if there really was someone I hoped they would leave soon by the fact that I had arrived. I wasn't gonna fight some cult living here in secret..
The strangest hallway lead into what looked like a big cafeteria, with a weird chess board pattern on the wall. I raised my eyebrows as I zipped my jacket down and got a hold of my flashlight.Stepping into the bigger room i pointed the flashlight around the quite big cafeteria and let my eyes study the spiderwebs that were spread out.. everywhere. A shiver ran down my spine as I kept studying the dark local. Everything stood nicely, just like a restaurant of some kind.. a very dusty and old restaurant from the 80s or something.
I'd been informed about the electrical room being somewhere in the back. I moved towards a corridor that lead further into the building to turn on the electricity. This place, it was oddly creepy. The fear of walking into a spiderweb overwhelmed me and I raised my hand in front of me to prevent myself from heading face first into one.
Surprisingly quickly I noticed a metal door with a lightning drawn on. It must be that, no doubt.
I carefully opened the door and bingo, there it were. I pulled up the handle with the red sticker on as my boss had instructed me and suddenly a rumbling sound started from the building."Please work" I begged and looked around in the darkness, nothing happened for a good second before suddenly the light about me started flickering unpromising. After a few flickering lights the hall and room she stood in lit up and a sudden blast of.. how should I describe it, party music, blasted up from where she'd come from.
I couldn't lie, I got quite a jump scare since I did indeed not expect that."Well well" I smiled and stepped out on the lit hallway again. "Wasn't too hard mh" I spun around and looked down over the hallway. I had to find the security room so I could do my job. The time had to be around 00:00.. I wasn't sure, but I had arrived on time.
As I made my way passed some doors the music behind me stopped. I froze and looked around without moving. It could be that it had come to an end...? Well, the unexpected silence was even more creepy. Reminded me of a classic horror movie.
"Don't think that, don't think that, oh please"
I shook my head and continued. If I started to think about ghosts and zombies I wouldn't last 10 minutes longer here. But at least they didn't exist.. right? To my relief I soon almost passed a door with 'security' written on it. I stopped up and pressed the handle down, entering the awfully small security room.
"Ah" I eyed the room up and down before entering it and closing the door behind me.
Placing my flashlight and keys on the table before walking to the cabinet in the corner where my uniform were said to be ready..As I opened the cabinet my heart dropped out of my chest when a awful face were smiling directly to me. Instead of screaming I just stood there and stared into the plastic eyes of a boy holding a ridiculous balloon. That was... different.. I thought, trying to get over the unpleasant surprise and snatched the uniform quickly and slammed the locker.
