Third Person POV

Topics in this book will not be 100% accurate to what has happened irl! I hope you all enjoy the book!!

(They are about 18 years old)

"Oh, Lissy!" Colby exclaimed walking into the girls bedroom. Alicia rolled her eyes and sat up in her bed looking at her best friend who barged into her room.

"What do you want Colby." She said with a small laugh as he threw himself down onto her bed.

Colby and Alicia had been best friends for as long as anyone could remember. They grew up living two houses down from each other and went to the same school together. The two became inseparable after having class together in first grade; no one had ever seen two friends so close.

However, Colby wasn't just a best friend to Alicia. She had been practically in love with him since their freshman year of high school yet Colby didn't pay her much attention in that sort of way. He constantly talked about the girls he was meeting and often urged her to talk to more guys.

Colby had grown quite popular due to his slowly growing YouTube channel. He and some of his friends from school and sometimes Alicia would try and sneak into abandoned places in their town and record videos of their experiences. People on YouTube love this sort of thing because he was gaining followers quite fast.

"I met this guy on YouTube who does very similar things to what I do and he wants to meet up and make a video together. His name is Sam Golbach." Colby said grabbing onto one of Alicia's pillows and hugging it to his chest. Alicia raised an eyebrow at this action but dropped it and smiled at him.

"That's great Colby! When and or where are you meeting up with him?" Alicia asked leaning back against her headboard. Colby shrugged.

"I think LA. There are a lot of abandoned places over there that he wants to record at. Mom already told me that I would be okay to go. We both think that it would really boost our channels." Colby explained. Alicia's smile widened as she launched herself at Colby and hugged him. He let out a loud laugh, that sounded like music to her ears, before hugging her back.

"I'm so happy for you Colby! Wait so when are you going?" Alicia asked sitting back in the original spot she was in. Colby shrugged again.

"Sometime next week." Alicia's smile widened an impossible amount.

"I really am happy for you Colby." She said. Colby looked over at her with a dimple smile. A smile that made her chest explode with butterflies.

"Thank you, Lissy. I'm really excited."

--------------------

Alicia could tell how excited Colby was because, for the next week until his trip, it was all he would talk about. Every day he was over at Alicia's house trying to plan different things for his trip. She didn't complain though, she would never complain about anything Colby's happy about.

She loved hearing the excitement in his voice as he talked about how excited he was for this opportunity and how it is a once in a lifetime sort of thing.

Then he was gone and her life was quiet... for a week at least. Even though he called her every night before bed and every morning it was weird to be without him. She could just tell how happy he was to be with Sam over in LA, it was the happiest she had seen him in a while, it made her happy.

-------------------

"Lissy! Hi Mrs. Jones? Lissy!" Colby's voice bounced off of the walls of her house a week later. The first thing Colby did when he got home from LA was run down to Alicia's house. He had so much that he wanted to tell her.
