CAPTAIN LEVI ACKERMAN, CRIMINAL CASE SC-38: UNDERGROUND TITANS

RIGHT WALL PARTIALLY DESTROYED, DEBRIS. CEILING DESTROYED (PREVIOUS).

Levi shook his head and pinched his nose, thinking of Jannik completely destroying their crime scene by allowing the ceiling to be repaired. It only made him appear much more guilty. He cracked his knuckle, scribbling down on his report once again.

NO BLOOD RECOVERED AT THE SCENE. REMNANTS OF TITAN SPINE RECOVERED. ALL OTHER BONES AND MUSCLE TISSUE EVAPORATED. ITEMS PRESUMED TO BELONG TO RINA KUNZE RECOVERED: BLOUSES, LINGERIE, COAT, SHOES, DRAWINGS, COSMETICS. (REF: SEE PAGE 3)

He flipped forward a few pages to his free notes section. There were nine women scheduled in total and he presumed it would take him most of today to get through them all. It had been so long since he had been a part of a criminal investigation, especially in this capacity. He usually had Erwin at his side leading the questions, coming up with all the brilliant ideas. Levi was never one for strategy - he was humanity's best scout for his pure skill and fierce loyalty. He looked over at Petra standing at the window with her usual pleasant countenance, even though the view from that window was surely one of violence and misery. They were a good pairing for questioning, he thought, because she would disarm the witnesses with kindness and charm before Levi came in with the cutting questions. Petra turned, noticing that Levi was watching her.

"Are we ready to bring in the first witness?" She asked. "Deirdre Spitz? Ah, unfortunate name on that one," She joked.

"Bring her in," He nodded, looking back down at his notepad and writing Deirdre's name. Petra ambled in with Deirdre close behind, directing her to sit down on the red couch across from Levi. Deirdre has chestnut hair which has been braided and tied into a bun. Brown eyes, pale skin. Inexpensive clothing; smells strongly of cheap citrus perfume. No taller than 65 inches, no heavier than 120 pounds.

"Tea? We even have biscuits!" Petra chirped.

"Petra, try not to fraternize with our key witnesses," Levi scolded.

"I am just trying to make them comfortable!" She defended, looking at Deirdre and waiting for her response.

"Tea would be fine, thanks," Deirdre said plainly. Petra picked up the teapot on the side table next to Levi's armchair and poured Deidre a cup of black tea. She grabbed the cup reluctantly, taking a few small sips. Petra returned to the armchair beside Levi.

"How do you like working at The Winking Mares?" Petra watched her intently, one hand holding a quill and the other holding her clipboard.

"It's quite lonely. I have a few friends, but that is all."

"Who are your friends?"

"Emeline and Sonje." Deirdre is friends with Emeline and Sonje, Levi wrote.

"Pretty names," Petra smiled. "How long have you been friends?"

"Yeah," Deidre smiled back, "it's been a while now. We kind of grew up in all of this together."

"Did you meet before or after you started working at The Winking Mares?"

"After."

"Who was Rina friends with?" Levi cut in.

"Just Imogen," Deirdre's expression soured. Does not like Imogen, Levi noted.

"You aren't friends with Imogen?" Levi looked up from his page.

"No," She snorted.

"Why not?"

"She's a selfish cunt," Deirdre scowled. Does not like Despises Imogen, he amended.
