Chocolate macadamia nut-
- INGREDIENTS
- makes 12 servings
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temp.
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 egg
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1 1/4 cups semisweet chocolate chunks
- 1 teaspoon baking soda- DIRECTIONS
- preheat oven to 375 degrees, DO NOT grease your baking sheets!
- in a large mixing bowl, cream the sugars, shortening and butter, until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla. add the flour and baking soda; mix thoroughly. Fold in chocolate chunks, and nuts. mix well
- drop by large rounded tablespoons 3 inches apart on an ungreased baking sheet. lightly press down on the cooking glass with a drinking glass to flatten slightly. bake 10-12 mins, when done take out and cool for 5 minutesChocolate chip pumpkin-

- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 1/2 sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 cup canned pumpkin
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 1/2 cups of flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 chocolate chipsDIRECTIONS-
- preheat oven to 300 degrees
- cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy
- beat in egg, pumpkin and vanilla
( mixture will look slightly curled)
- mix and sift flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, nutmeg and cinnamon
- add to creamed mixture and mix well
- add chocolate chips and mix thoroughly
- remove from oven, let cool for 3 mins. then take a bite
