Natalie Parker

Natalie's point of view

"Oh my gosh I look hot!" I tell Sarah over the phone while standing in front of my mirror.

"See I knew you would like the pjs!" Sarah squeals down the phone line.

"Yeah yeah. I just didn't know they would be this comfy! I'm shocked!" I feel like a Victoria secret super model.

"Aren't you glad you came shopping with me today instead of staying in your bed all day?" Sarah claims.

"I guess. All though wish I got to have a nap today." I yawn.

"Oh c'mon you are always sleeping! You need to get out more! Talk to boys! Kiss 'em. Mess around." Sarah giggles.

"Jeez Sarah! I'm not like you. You know I don't do that- wait hold on." "Yeah mum?" I scream outside my bedroom door.

"Ugh seriously she does this every time! Sorry Sarah I'll be right back." I throw my phone onto my bed and quickly walk down the stairs into the kitchen.

"Yeah mum?" I sigh.

'Muummm? Mu-" I notice a note a note sitting on the kitchen island.

To Natalie

I've been called into the hospital to pick up a shift for Danielle.

I'll be back home at around 8am.

There's left over pizza in the fridge.

I smile down at the little heart she's drawn onto the note. I must have just missed her leaving.

I run back upstairs to grab my speaker. Time to blast music and sing my heart out!

I bring the speaker downstairs and place it onto the kitchen bench, pressing shuffle on my playlist.

California girls by Katy Perry and Snoop Dogg starts playing.

I dance around eating cold pizza.

"You could travel the world"

"But nothing comes close to the golden coast!"

"You'll be fallin' in love"

"Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh"

I love singing and dancing around when I'm home alone.

I pour myself a big glass of orange juice but as I'm going to take a sip I see a shadow zoom across the lounge room in front of me.

I freeze.

What the hell was that? Okay it's probably nothing right? I'm just being dramatic.

It's just my eyes playing trick on me.

I turn my speaker off and decide to just go to sleep.

As I'm walking upstairs my speaker turns on by it's self. I jump and grip the railing hard.

"Fuck" I whisper.

I start to tremble, frozen on the stairs.

I Was Made For lovin' You by KISS is blasting through my house at full volume.

What kind of sick messed up joke is this? I'm on the verge of having a panic attack.

I turn around on the stairs and look into the darkness to see if I can see anything but I see nothing.

I have a really bad feeling and I know I definitely turned the speaker off.

A whimper escapes my mouth as I turn around and make a run for it up the stairs.

"Her." A whisper comes from behind me.

I shriek, running faster up the stairs, skipping two steps as I go.

When I make it to the top of the staircase, I'm met with a tall shadow standing in front of me.

I scream taking a step back but I fall down the stairs.

As I'm falling I see the shadow try to grab me.

I tumble to the bottom of the stairs, resting up against the wall.

My ears are ringing and I cant see clearly.

I feel something dripping down my head, I reach my hand to it and find blood on my fingers.

I see the shadow descending the stairs, coming towards me.

"Noo." I cry, trying to get up but fail miserably.

The shadow reaches me and kneels down in front of me.

"Shhh" the shadow whispers, moving a bit of hair off my face.

I flinch, trying to escape the touch of the shadow.

Everything is fading in and out.

The walls are shrinking and the room is spinning.

The last thing I remember is the shadow picking me up, then everything fades.
